Posted: 10/2/08 at 12:19pmAfter looking at all of the collections that the final six showed, I really like Joe's. out of the four remaining, I think Korto should win. Leanne's stuff is nice but a little one note and the edges seem a bit rough. Kenley really didn't do anything new and Jerelle's just didn't hit me the way I hoped it would. But these are just pictures. After seeing the collections ahead of time on the website last season and then actually seeing them "in motion", my opinion changed about some of the outfits I had seen already.

"Just like how American Idol puts untalented people on their show to make the auditions humorous, they will keep Kenley on to create drama."
Kenley has talent. She's just a self-absorbed @sshole who should have been sent packing last week and it is really tough to root for someone like that. There is no self-awareness with Kenley. She has blinders on when it comes to herself--she really thinks she has no flaws and can't deal with anything other than praise. I can blame some of it--and only some--on her age. If she continues to be this obstinate, she will never learn, never grow and never survive the fashion business without a thicker skin and an open mind.

Posted: 10/2/08 at 12:29pmSorry, I phrased that wrong. She is definitely talented, but I think at this point it was just about keeping her on the show to add that drama.

Which Tim and now Orangina have BOTH expressed to her.

#455re: Project Runway 5
Posted: 10/2/08 at 12:47pmYes. But was it me or did Heidi look a wee bit "ragged" in the face last night during judging. She just didn't look like her normal self.

Posted: 10/2/08 at 12:51pmPersonality aside, she turned out hideous creations two weeks in a row that she should have been sent home for. I hate that she has been given the opportunity to show at Bryant Park. For a person who bitches and moans about how she's had to fight her way through life (I guess no one else in the world has ever had to do that!) she doesn't even realize or appreciate how lucky she is.

#462re: Project Runway 5
Posted: 10/2/08 at 2:08pmI think Jay tries to show the models what "ugly pretty" is. It's all about "smiling with your eyes" and being "ugly pretty".

Sometimes I just find the judges' aesthetics inexplicable (such as their definition of "avant-garde")--I don't understand why they were so hard on Korto's design last night. The lace didn't work, but the color and texture were good and it was far from a disgrace. Leanne chose an incredibly ugly color and her dress was far too frilly and busy.
Enough has been said about that pseudo-hippie Fran Drescher imitator Kenley, I think. I'll just add this--her dress might actually have been passable if she'd left off the petal/scales at the hem and made it a straight sheath. And, personally, I would have bounced her after her appalling response to the astrological-sign challenge, that plaid monstrosity that looked like Brigadoon exploding out of the model's shoulders.

I think they made a big deal out of the color of Korto's dress to justify Kenley's staying...they COULDNT decide, yall!
right.

Posted: 10/2/08 at 3:55pmThat's what I thought they were talking about, Tom? Because of his fake tan.

Posted: 10/2/08 at 3:58pmKenley's dress looked like an inverted purple spear of asparagus. She should have been dumped. The whole bogus "we can't decide" charade is just evidence of how corrupt this show really is.

Posted: 10/2/08 at 4:31pmI was surprised that they all have to do a collection to see who gets to the finals, but I didn't like any of the dresses. Why they picked Jarrel as winner, then he still wasn't "in", I don't get. Kenley should have been let go weeks ago on attitude alone.

Posted: 10/2/08 at 6:50pmi think it is clear that the judges/producers wanted Jerrell to go home last night and absolutely wanted Kenley to stay for "drama"... since his was the best, they didn't automatically offer him a spot in Bryant Park so that he can be eliminated next week... I'm nearly positive of this...
#472re: Project Runway 5
Posted: 10/4/08 at 10:20pmI'm watching it now, and while I really do dislike Kenley, I do think the other designers were sort of jerks when they didn't give her any tulle. As annoying as Kenley is, I thought that was sort of a jerk move on their parts.
#473re: Project Runway 5
Posted: 10/4/08 at 10:26pmI don't see Kenley handing out extra tulle to others, if the situation was reversed.
