Project Runway 5

That's true, but it still kind of bothered me.
Then again, I don't have to spend the whole day with her.

Posted: 10/4/08 at 10:38pmI was like, forget it, they're not getting my tulle, 'cause it's a competition and I have had to fight my way through life. Unlike these dee-signers I grew up on a tugboat. And Tim doesn't get me and I don't care what he thinks about me or hip hawp or about tulle.

Posted: 10/5/08 at 10:29amI bet she doesn't have the slightest idea what it's like to fight through life. Poor little spoiled brat. I'm disliking her more by the minute!

A few thoughts:
I can't stand that Bluefly commercial with the naked woman walking through the airport. Stupid!
Bridesmaid dress? Blech!
Jerell is bugging me. Heck, Kenley apologized. Stop the drama!
I predict the three women will compete in Bryant Park...

(ps - I made that prediction BEFORE we even saw any of the bridesmaid dresses....)
But, now that I see them, I'm sticking with my prediction!!
#482re: Project Runway 5
Posted: 10/8/08 at 10:03pmI must say, I agreed with the decision.

That was my prediction also. Jerrell dropped the ball in this challenge. I wasn't crazy about Korto's dresses either. It will be interesting to see who wins. Having seen the collections on the Runway I am predicting that either Leanne or Korto will win.
Here is my question, and it may have been answered somewhere in this thread....When and how did the last six designers find out that they were going to show at Bryant park? My thought is that the two not in the final tonight were told but the final 4 didn't know. And I wonder if Jerell knew when he was told he was out or if they told him after he went up to clean his space. Just wondering. It was hard to judge if Jerrell already knew.

I knew when they allowed all four designers a second chance that Jerrel would get assed out despite his win. And as bad as I feel for him, I knew it would be because Kenley would make something better than he could.
She's grating and ungrateful, but they chose the right three designers.

As annoying as Kenley is 98% of the time, they definitely made the right decision last night.
And if those two designs are a fair representation of the rest of her collection, Leanne has this in the bag.

I loved Leanne's and Kenley's bridesmaid dressed more than their wedding gowns, and I agree on the two of them going forward.
I'm wondering why Tim Gunn didn't share extra time with Kenley doing something besides looking at her line. He met the families and/or went out with the other designers after they discussed their lines.
I still don't buy Kenley's phony apology to the other designers and her saying on camera that she really likes Tim and values his opinion. What bullcrap. It's easy for her to say when she's on top of things.

Posted: 10/9/08 at 12:12pmI hope there will be a reunion show this season. Dont they usually do that before the last episode?

Reunion show is usually before the finale...not sure about this season.
I DONT think the right person went home. The walk off should have been between Kenley and Korto. It was their mess that the judges couldnt come to a decision about, so the challenge should have been theirs alone. Jerrell and Leanne won their spots last week. Last year with Rami and Chris was much more fair. Unfortunately that would mean that Korto would've gone home.
I didnt buy Kenley's apology for one minute...it sounded like a child who just wants to get off the naughty chair..."I'm sorry! Okay!?"
Although I felt bad for Jerrell, because he's done great work in the past, but his exit was kind of snarky and sour grapey. I expected better of him.

doodlenyc, I COMPLETELY agree about Kenley's apology! She was only saying it to say it. She clearly didn't mean it. And as much as I like her, I think that Korto should have gone home. I just think that Jerrell's done better work over the course of the entire show and is capable of more than Korto.
And back to Kenley, I wish her fashion skills were as bad as her attitude/personality. It sucks that she's so good.

Her dress was a total ripoff of the McQueen dress the judges mentioned.

Whatever. Jerell was a good designer, won more challenges this season than anyone else, and he was interesting. Kenley is better at construction but every dress she puts down is derivative. Also, as the winner of the last challenge, Jerell should not have been up for the chopping block. It should've been between the bottom two like last year.
Totally ridiculous.

Posted: 10/9/08 at 7:56pmOh, sorry, just saw up in an earlier post that it was Jerell. Didn't see that when I did the quick read through. That kinda sucks, considering he won the challenge right before. What I want to know is, why are there so many collections on the website if only 3 are left?

Sorry, just caught up last night.
Wonkit, you took the words right out of my mouth. Leanne's was breathtaking.
And I could BELIEVE that Jerrel made that parting crack about Michael Kors! Low-class exit, Jerrel!
