ULI!!!!!!!!
Haven't most of these people been on All Stars 2 or 3 times already? It's getting kind of boring. I hope Wendy Pepper falls off a balcony or something and takes Suede and Laura Kathleen with her.
Brace yourselves for the return of Patricia!!!
A Better Link
I have been away from the cable for literally 7 years.
My question is: Did Santino ever come back?
I think he's just been on DRAG RACE for the pasts 5 years.
And don't forget this...
WTF? Did someone do something stupid and get the current All Stars thread deleted? Or am I imagining that we already had a thread going for last week's premiere?
Anyway, Michelle is clearly a bit too confident coming off of the win of her season. What a dull off the rack dress, but they certainly made the right choice eliminating Alexandria instead. What a mess. The dress and the woman.
Justin's dress was lovely. Good choice as the winner. Is this the first ep in which he hasn't mentioned that he's deaf?
I was surprised by the other high scores, though. I thought several of the safe looks were quite strong and should have been in the top.
Oh, and, ****ing Snooki is judging fashion now? Seriously?
You have to blame the directors and editors for that: they ask all the leading questions for those voice overs and interviews. They likely continue to ASK him to mention it.
And yes, it was lovely, and it was so great to see the other contestants truly be happy for him and his design.
Oops...I'm to blame for there being 2 related threads. My bad.
PR All Stars Season 4
You're not entirely to blame, but your abbreviation of "PR" is. I was doing searches for "Project" and for "Runway" in the subject line, but not for "PR". Good to know I wasn't crazy, though.
Since NEITHER thread has been bumped, I figured I'd just choose one.
Loved last nights episode, but bummed about who went home on a personality level -- but I did think the design looked weak.
I was kind of hoping though, that maybe they were going to get an actual costume challenge.
I thought the judges were pretty spot on.
I was disappointed he went home this week but it was a hideous gown.
I thought virtually every design was incredibly lackluster. I can't believe no one really brought the drama - especially Chris who, yes, deserved to go home. These All Stars need to step up their game. BTW, the mousy middle child from Modern Family is judging fashion now? Seriously? I mean, SERIOUSLY? Ugh. Bottom of barrel in sight. I'm relieved to see Nina Garcia's back next week. I hope she's really mean.
What did they love so much about Sam's gown?!?! WHAT?!?!
The majority of the gowns were just over-designed (especially Dmitri). I thought for sure Sam would be in the bottom 3, if not going home. But that losing gown was quite hideous. The top was 80s Contempo Casual and the bottom was Carmen Miranda. None of it was couture.
How many times will Kate be eliminated before she's had enough?
Any thoughts on Helen's winning party dress?
According to Chris March at Blogging Project Runway, the designers were told that the dress had to be 20% of the opposite character trait, hence witch gowns with pink tulle and pretty princess dresses with branches sticking out.
I can't believe that Samantha Black designed that bathing suit in Episode 8 Making a Splash. The challenge was to design a high-end resortwear/swimwear combo and she drew inspiration from BAYWATCH of all sources. It was clearly her time to go and I suspect that will be the next one sent packing. The bathing suit he sent his model down in the runway in was fugly.
But, the absolute worst garment on display in that episode was what Zanna herself wore to the work room. I didn't take any of her critiques seriously after seeing the hot mess she was decked out in.
I also didn't think that Justin's black bathing suit was all that. It had about as much sex appeal on his model as a toe-nail clipper.
Perhaps the model swap threw the designers for a loop.
