Project Runway Season 16

Two episodes in and zzzzzzzz....zzzzzzzzz for the most part.

There are these twins from Wisconsin one of whom I find insufferable. They are clearly a team which is throwing off the workroom dynamic this season. There are also a couple of "stand-ins" for designers who auditioned solely to bolster their social media profiles, I'm guessing.

This season is also extremely pc which is a mixed blessing. On the one hand, it forces the designers (and the judges) out of their respective comfort zones. But, on the other, it drubs viewers over the head with a not-so-hidden agenda. If that's the price fashion must pay to move forward then who am I to disagree with the tack the show's taken this season. I just hope that the fashion soon rises to the level of social justice to which Heidi and company aspire.

I am enjoying this season (with the exception of the twins, who make my ears hurt). Finally they are presenting models of all sizes, just like women in the "real world".

I love the season for the most part.

I agree, don't really need the model's input. HATE the annoying twins. They are far too old for that annoying attachement.

It will be interesting to find out what the "cheating" scandal is that what shown on the first episode. (or maybe the Road to episode)

As to the women of all sizes....I like it. The only way to change things is to talk about it. And the one twin's response (whining) about having to design for a curvy woman was ridiculous...what was she, a size six? MAYBE an 8?

I wish the guest judges were actual fashion designers, rather than random celebrities week to week who sometimes wear fashion because it's their job.

And I LOVE the twins. I cannot WAIT for the inevitable tragic meltdown of one (or both, if we're very, very lucky). I hope hospitalization is required. (But then the come out better and stronger and wiser...I'm not a complete monster.)

I never cared much for the inclusion of celebrity judges either. But, it would be a major coup if Heidi and the PR team could land the FLOTUS Melania Trump as the guest judge for the finale. It would be a ratings bonanza. I also think it would be the perfect way to wrap up a series that has arguably grown rather long in the tooth. First Daughter-Wife-Adviser Ivanka is too polarizing.

ETA: I have a sneaking suspicion that the guest judge at this season's finale will be Cindy Crawford. The product tie-ins to her new skin care line have not been subtle.
