Hi Anthony. First of all, I just wanted to say that I really enjoyed Rent and thought that everyone in the movie was amazing! Anyway, I was wondering that when your book comes out if you'll be doing any book signings around the country.

Yes, please work your magic at a signing in or around the NYC area. Pretty please. Can't wait for the book.

I'm not Anthony Rapp, but someone I go to school with told me she heard there's going to be a signing at a Barnes and Noble in NYC on 2/21. I have no idea how valid it is, but just to throw that out there.

The books comes out... what is it, 2/16?

Thanks for your interest. We are just now laying the groundwork for the readings and signings I'll be doing, starting at the end of January and going through at least February. There will definitely be a big event in NY at the Barnes and Noble in Chelsea on February 21st, and other events sprinkled around whenever and wherever we can make them happen. So far, I'm going to also be at Booksmith in San Francisco on February 16th, Books and Books in Miami on February 24th, and an as-yet-to-be-determined store in Dallas on Feb 26th or 27th. More cities and stores will be added in the coming weeks and months, including Boston, Chicago, St. Louis, Los Angeles, and as many as we can fit in.

I'll be relaunching my website very soon, and it will have all info updated there regularly.

It wouldn't hurt to start emailing Simon and Schuster in the mean time, to let them know that there's a real interest in the book, so they might put a little more muscle behind it. I assume you can contact them via their website. Or you could draft letters to me either on this site or via pm and I can pass them along to the powers that be.

Thanks in advance for all of your support.

Anthony

Which B&N would that be?

DC would be really great. I suggest Kramerbooks. It's at Dupont Circle, which is right in the heart of the very strong gay community in DC.

It's also an idependent bookstore, which I'm always a fan of supporting.

Febuary 21 is my birthday... however irrelevant that is. I wish I could be in any one of those cities. But seeing as how I'm in college, I figured I'd publicly beg for a signing in Pittsburgh. (There's a lovely Borders in the Pittsburgh Mills which is a rather large mall.) I'm so looking forward to this book, guess what I'm getting for my birthday...

Keep smiling, it makes people wonder what you're up to

You know you want to come to the middle of nowhere Central New York. re: Question for Anthony Rapp(about his book) Kidding.

I'm really excited to read it though. I've had it pre-ordered for a few weeks through Amazon.

So, uh...where's Chelsea? I love how I live 20 minutes from the city, yet really know nothing about it. Anyone?

Mr. Rapp, I loved Rent so much. You were one of the best in the cast! Rent is the only movie that can make me openly weep. It was the most I had cried for, well, a very long time. I can't wait for the 10th Anniversary Concert. Hopefully you can make it up to good ol' Minnesota. We never get anyone good.

Any interest in coming to DC? We always get people doing book signings in DC but no one good... you could break that streak!

What happened to Andrae?

Fan: Oh my god! You're, like, standing right there and, like, looking right at me and, like, oh my god! Anthony Rapp: Yes, that's a pretty accurate discription of reality.

And, lo and behold, the 21st is in vacation week. Score one for me. re: Question for Anthony Rapp(about his book)

DC would be nice... Philly or Baltimore would be even better :)

I hope Simon and Schuster are expecting a favorable response to this book, because it will certainly get a lot of attention from the fans.

There's going to be a 10th Anniversary Concert? That's awesome! I hope you guys come to Boston or Foxboro Stadium or somewhere in Massachusetts to perform! Will there be more info on it?

It's at the Nederlander on 4/24. It's a benefit for three organizations.
