Hello! Anthony, unfortunatley, I've never posted on one of your threads. However, today is the day!!

I was never a "RENTHEAD" but since I am a fan of BWW, Rent has been talked about forever. These RENTHEADS had me psyched for the movie for the longest time and it surpassed my expectations! I don't tend to like movies and embaressingly usually fall alseep. Not for Rent. I stared at that screen for a full 2 hours and 15 minutes. You, as well as the other cast members "Wowed" me! I also love watching you and the cast on the view. A full morning show dedicated to RENT- how wonderful!

Onto the book. I saw the cover and it looks wonderful!! There is no doubt it's going to be in my hands. I did see that you are going to Books and Books in Miami on Feb 24th. However, there are two Books and Books. One is in Miami Beach and one in Coral Gables (also in Miami.) Do you happen to know which one you will be signing at?

Thanks you so much. You are a great inspiration to so many of us and I can't tell you how much we love when actor's post on BWW!

Everyone was AMAZING in Rent!

I realllly want your book and I can't wait till it comes out.
If you do any signings for it in Los Aneles, I hear that Barnes and Nobles at the Grove in Beverly Hills in a great place (wink wink). My friends have said they'd seen you and a few other Rent people there from time to time..

For anyone interested, it looks like S&S has message boards (wonder if they read them), mailing address and email - but i think email goes to a webmaster, so letters may be more effective.

Word to the wise...the Barnes and Noble in Chelsea is such a scam. Unless you buy the book from them...you can't get on line to get something signed. I don't know if it's the same case with Anthony's book. But, when I went to the Golden Girls signing they gave me problems because I hadn't bought the DVD from that store. I had to give a song and dance to about five people before they relented and let me get on line.

A LOT of signings work that way.

Unfortunately.

It's kind of sad, really. I mean I know the store wants to make a profit...but you shouldn't throw someone out because they show up with the book from another store. Most people are probably going to buy it from the store anyway, who cares if a few people got it from somewhere else?

I shouldn't complain. They did let me on line, after I talked to every employee at that store.

Well that's kind of sucky, because I certainly don't want to go all the way there to buy the book, ...well maybe I'll be in the city the day the book comes out and I can just hop over there. Then when I go back on the 21 I can bring the receipt with me so they know I bought it there? Because I'm certainly not waiting until the day of the signing to buy it. ...And I don't really want to buy 2 copies, although if I have to I will, lol.

I would also like to say that a book signing in the Pittsburgh area would be awesome.

do you think we can buy it from B&N the day it comes out and then show the receipt at the signing? Or do you normally have to buy it the day of? I want to read the book before I go to the signing in nyc.

I am psyched for this book. Especially after Mandi's stellar review. I've had the book on pre-order from Amazon for a couple of weeks now.

You should definitely make a book stop in Minneapolis, it'll be the dead of winter and dreadfully cold. Perfection.

Unfortunately I will have just made a trip out to NYC the month before or else I would be among the many standing in line at B&N.

I should be making a number of trips out there to get my teaching license squared away in NY state (bloody hell, New York is a giant pain to get licensed in if you schooled outside of the state reciprocity area) and hopefully can plan a trip that will coincide with the 10th anniversary ::crosses fingers::

Thanks! I think I've been to that B&N before, I interviewed actors there for one of my student films...I think that was the one. Has like 3 or 4 floors?

I think you mean Lari. Mandi hasn't read it. Em is reading it now, so I'm expecting a review from her too.

Perhaps a long shot, but if Anthony can actually come to Toronto, I'll just DIE. But not before going to the signing, of course!!

Better get started on the e-mailing!!!

Tampa, FL needs some love. I have turned seven different people into huge fans of both the movie and you, Anthony. Plus, I'll...I'll...I don't know buy you a coffee or something. Please? Pretty please with sherbet on top? *winks*

It's still east coast...only a plane ride away...please? *puppy dog eyes* I'll love you forever...moreso

BlueJ --- is your picture of Tracie from the magazine that had that awesome picture of Anthony that was B&W and it looked like his head was starting to roll off his body? --- All the pics of them are great!! Can someone tell me which magazine and issue it was, so I can find it on ebay or something (hopefully) ?

So is it still out? I thought it was Life...but I went into a newsstand and all they had was a John Lennon special issue. Am I missing something?
