---how can we get life magazine? It doesnt sell on stands, only in newspapers?
Also, Anthony-
While many of the Philadelphians will make the trip to NYC for the signing, you may want to think about coming here. The support Philly has for everything Rent is astounding, and to have the real live mark cohen in the city of brotherly love would have some great responses. just a thought

Posted: 11/29/05 at 9:13pmjeremykushnier1fan, Life magazine only comes out in newspapers, in one of the weekend issues. I think for most papers it is Friday. There are scans on idina-here.com of the whole article and the cover with Idina, and I know there are scans of the other covers on one of the boards here!

Yep, the picture of her is from the Life magazine article, but it only comes the newspapers - you can't get it in stores. Although you may very well be able to find it on ebay, like you said. Otherwise, there are scans of the article at www.idina-here.com, but you may already know of those.

Posted: 11/29/05 at 9:28pmOkay, now, stop asking for him to do book signings in your state! As much as I would love for him to come to Detroit, he can't make it to every state in the United States, so just give him a break, folks. As for the book, I, too, am very excited, of course :)

Miami is close to Tampa.....you should swing by this way! We have a big, theatre-loving community here with a Performing Art Center that gets a lot of the big touring shows. We have two big universities (University of Tampa and University of Southern FL. that both have theatre programs). I know a lot of UT people who are big on Rent and have been since before the movie. The tour tends to come to the area every year (from Tampa-St.Pete) and gets great results! The downtown area itself is beginning to really flourish.
So why not stop here on the way to or from Miami? *pimps Tampa*
....It just isn't fair that I'll be back at school when the book is out and that it'll be before spring break.......otherwise I could see you up north myself! ^.~

I have apparently been living in a hole on the off-topic board and have just now noticed Anthony is back! I hope everything's going well for you Anthony, and I want to welcome you back to BWW (a little late, eh?) Anyway, we're always glad to have you here, thanks for all that you do!

You are ALL going to love this book. I will it to be so.
I second Philadelphia, and although I'm not sure about the fanbase here, it'd be really nice if Anthony could make it to Pittsburgh.
*Sets about writing that letter to Simon & Schuster*
Thanks again, Anthony. Seriously.

Book readings/signings....that makes me happy. If/when a location is set for LA I'll definitly try to go. *prays that I don't need to work on whatever day it is* Seriously though, I can't wait to read this book, I'm counting down the days as well until it's released.

haha I might just have to take a trip to NYC for this book thingy... *EHEM* I mean to visit my friend at NYU
Something totally off-topic, but who else loves Anthony's name on here? I meant to say something earlier, but it escaped my mind. That's probably the best screenname I've ever seen. Had it not been 3am when I discovered these boards and if it weren't for the certainty of death if I woke my roommates up (clearly, I'm the night owl of the 3 of us), I would have literally been cracking up when I saw that.
An idea, maybe visiting the DFW area in Texas? You'd be surprised by the ENORMOUS musical theater following there... I know I was.
Love love love... and RENT... but mostly love... *PSCH*

Posted: 11/30/05 at 2:12pmI think he should do something for the whole America Supports You bit and come over to Europe to the bases. We never get anyone good over here - just cheerleaders and country bands, mostly.
I remember days
Or at least I try
But as years go by
They're sort of haze
And the bluest ink
Isn't really sky
And at times I think
I would gladly die
For a day of sky

Anthony,
I can only assume this publishing company is quite large. If we were to write a letter to S&S, is there any department it should be addressed to so it actually gets read?

I think you mean Lari. Mandi hasn't read it. Em is reading it now, so I'm expecting a review from her too.
Stupid question, but how are you guys reading the book already?

Lari won it when they had that contest on the blog; they were giving out advanced, uncorrected copies. I borrowed a copy from a winner.
