I know it's naive of me but how hard is it not to kill each other? My Facebook feed is peppered with people wanting to know if Al Sharpton and DeBlasio are "happy now." I don't understand how anyone could think that they intended this to happen.
I'm so sick of arguing and vitriol.

Sharpton is a racial arsonist from way back. Remember his "Jewish Diamond Merchants" crack? His fiery rhetoric led to the deaths of 7 people at Freddy's Fashion Mart. Our Mayor giving Sharpton a seat at the table plus his repeated anti cop remarks merely stoked the fires. To allow protests to stop traffic may have led to medical emergencies with ambulances being stuck.Remarks like those of Spike Lee ("Let's make this a chocolate city" ) shows where his head is at.Lost respect for Samuel Jackson when he sang a song with lyrics about killing cops.Gee whiz I wonder why this happened. On 9/11 those cops who died at the WTC were not worried about skin color when they ran into the towers. How easily people forget.
The police now will be very reactive instead of pro active .The losers will be those in high crime areas. Our Mayor has done great harm. The city is quickly sliding back to the bad old days.

These two officers deaths were caused by one very sick individual with a gun, who killer his girlfriend, the two officers and his self. I think he would have done it one way or another. He would have found an excuse.
To throw Sharpton into the mix is doing nothing more then more race bating IMHO seeing that the victims were Hispanic and Japanese.

I do. And also the fault of Sharpton, Obama, Holder, and everyone else who have been trying to use racial hatred to their political advantage.
I would guess that about 100% of the police officers agree with the statement made by the Union representative. And I doubt that they are all hysterical.

When his wife says it is racist for a white woman to ask her to get something off a shelf in a store is a bit much.A number of times people have asked me the same thing as they were shorter than me and could not reach the shelf. Yeah it is racism at work.

This is so worth it to read ________ parsing out responsibility. He never had a single criticism of W starting a war in Iraq for no reason. And he's parroting Fox phrases he would never come up with himself, like "racial arsonist."
And of course, he doesn't understand the first thing about racism, which is why there is a such a racism problem in this country. There are a jillion ___________s in this country.

This is obviously absolutely tragic and a terrible loss of life.
That being said, it is frustrating to me that the NYPD will use this incident to further their complaints about de Blasio, Sharpton, etc. Prior to this, they were whining that de Blasio dared to call them out of the racial disparities in policing in New York, and now to a select group of idiots, this incident legitimizes their complaints.
This was wrong and never should have happened. de Blasio's statements about the police were still very correct. These two things are not mutually exclusive.

Mr Roxy, I thought the same thing with the Michelle Obama comment and Target. Just because someone asks your assistance to reach something, doesn't automatically suggest they think you are an employee. If this was true, I am owed some paychecks by Target. I think it was really pushing it to call it racist. I also don't believe that anyone asked our President to park their car.

Those in high crime areas should be happy as they will see less cops in their areas. Of course this may change when they need a cop and they are nowhere to be found. I do not fault the police if they go by the book now. They are already telling their members to make sure any cop car called be backed up by another no matter what the call is about.
To those who thought the cops were trigger happy before (stats prove this wrong) it will get much worse.

"Of course this may change until they need a cop and they are nowhere to be found."
People in high crime areas know that they have never been anywhere to be found. That's why they're high crime areas.

The ex-girlfriend who Brinsley shot is expected to survive.
"Let's face it. There's been, not just in New York, but throughout the country, a very strong, anti-police, anti-criminal justice system, anti-societal set of initiatives underway." - David Lynch
To combine criticism of police tactics and an unwilling justice system with being opposed to SOCIETY ITSELF is just a tremendous leap that warrants a goddamn standing ovation. To pin the blame on those pointing out the injustices rather than the injustices themselves is another classic derailment tactic. He also admitted to staging the scene in the hallway where the officers all turned their backs to the Mayor, since he knew it would go viral. Gross.

To those interested another cop shot and killed in Tarpon Springs Florida today
How the shooter here was still walking around with his record is a mystery. Anyone who remains a cop today or is thinking of joining should have his or her head examined.

Last I checked this is still a free f*cking country and if some Cops want to turn their backs to a Mayor, they are more than allowed to. That action, and their subsequent comments on the issue, fails to breach their employment contract with the City. Sorry to disappoint you.

Sociopaths like you never disappoint me.
But feel free to, like, send me a private message about it.

Posted: 12/21/14 at 2:14pmDid anyone say they weren't allowed? Or that the comments breached their contract? They're just acting like spoiled children because someone dared to criticize them. But no one said they can't act like that, so I don't know what your problem is.

I haven't spoken to you in months. I have no problems with you.
Either grow up, move on, and be the big girl you claim to be, or just address my post with something of substance and relevance. It's not a difficult concept to grasp.

Do not worry. That is over with. Love people who name call when they do not agree with you. Go complain about other posters to someone else. I will put you back on ignore. Have a nice life. Thought you were above the rest of the crowd. I was obviously wrong. You and PRS deserve each other.Ditto for old Jordan as well.
