Okay, it's time to start ignoring this story. This woman is insignificant. Hers is not a story worth repeating any longer.
There are dead people now and this woman is not worthy of one fraction of a second more of our attention and concern. They are.

Back in the historical epoch I came out in, lesbians first began adopting Asian babies. Years went by and those babies became young adults. And that was the first time I became aware young people of color telling the stories of their lives as "cross-racial" adoptees. This phrase "trans-racial" was not used back then. I have since seen it mentioned in this context, but am not sure if this is a phrase that has been used for years or not.

I was curious about the origins of the term "trans-racial". And in a perverted sense, I'm intrigued by Rachel and her brother's chocolate fetish. I can't help but wonder whether their proximity to siblings of color triggered her need to transition to a woman of color and his alleged predilection for smoked child-meat. It just seems like the family is closely guarding the mother of all family secrets.
