I don't think it's okay for the staff to be napping at work.

They work from 11-11. From 3-5 they get a break. They are tired and sometimes nap in clothes. There is nothing weird about it.
I personally don't understand why they do it but it is the equivalant of a two hour lunch. Instead they snooze.
You have heard of a siesta. It is done all over the world and at Raku.
I hate it because I love eating at 4. Oh, well.
I am starving at 4 pm for some reason. I am fasting today so I can eat two Corine's Corner rolls.
Yum, SUSHI!

Corine, while you may have a warm spot in your heart for the place, there are so many bad business practices occuring (just the few you've mentioned)that it's no wonder they are closing.

Darling, if you knew sushi like I knew sushi you would be upset.
Raku's Corine's Corner rolls are the best in the City.
I also love my own creation:
Raku roll: Smoked salmon. Scallion. Cucumber. Spicy sauce and tobiko(caviar) YUM YUM.

I wish that good food was all it took to operate a restaurant. Most businesses fail because they don't follow a well thought out and executed plan.

Well... If you can help him call Raku.
Ask for Ray. Make Grandma happy.

A siesta is all well and good, but not in the restaurant.

This is the worst news I have heard all week.
SAVE RAKU!
Ray is like family to me. I eat at Raku at least once a month.
I don't mind if the waiters have to nap in their clothes. It is their house. Many of the waiters live on the premises.
There will be tears shed in my Corine's Corner roll tonight.
I plan on chaining myself to the door.

When I have an urge to hang around snoozing waitstaff, I head on over to The East Side Club.

"Raku on west 47th street became my living room before theater for the past two years."
I sit around in my underwear in my living room...same go for Ricky's?
Hey, I also take naps there...now I get it!

Now wait a minute-they really sleep right out in public, in the dining area? Will I see cots in there?

That would be great if you feel like it, Corine. Either way, I'm planning to drop in at about 5:30.
