I go here every few weeks or so since it's right down the street from where I work. I hadn't heard it was closing. Not the most attractive place but great rolls, no wait, cheap...I'll miss it.
Mmmmmmmmm

Doodle, too bad you're too far away to be there!
Give corine my best, dear...
Have a great weekend!

When they get their new location, they should change the name to Rakushi, because Raku and sushi are synonymous.
Just in case we miss each other, we can try next week.
I like the name "Raku over the coals" for the new spot.

To commemorate the occasion of the closing, the Franklin Mint will be releasing a limited edition Rakuku Clock.

Make the dress black and that's our Corine!
Now - does a bird fly out of that thing, or are there secret "hooters" that pop out of the windows? The allignment is a little creepy...

Say that again and Rocky Rakune will kick your ass!
Good thing I didn't have enough time to meet Corine at Raku, because I might still be lookiing for the place. It is not on 8th Ave and 47th as she posted.

Maybe it was a Sardine Party? You know, where Corine is hiding in some other place, and if you find her you have to hide there with her until all the other guests do the same thing and you're crammed in there like, you guessed it, sardines?
I saw it on Gidget once.
Yeah, maybe I should have looked for her in one of those fast food malls? You know, you can get Nathans, Dunkin Donuts, and I think pizza all in one rat's hol-oh, I mean one establishment.
It is right across the street from the Barrymore, isn't it?
I believe it's on the side street, 47th, near 7tsh ave.
Wait a minute, Jane, YOU HAVE NEVER BEEN? YOU are the reason it is closing. Bitch!
LOL, I never go east of 8th ave. at night!

You're responsible, you're the one to blame, you're responsible, you're the one to blame!
Shhhhhhhhhhhh!
Shhhhhhhhhhhh!
It's the last sushi
It's the last kelp
It's the last Raku
Cuz you're no help
Coulda' sought a roll
Could have tried a roll
Might have bought a roll
Did you?
Could have ate a roll
Could have bit a roll
Could have spent some dough
Did you?
All right Corine when?
We'll try it once again
Name the date and then --
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
Is that sung to the tune of Open a New Window?
It is 47th between 7th and 8th. Right next door to Scarlatto.
It is not that small. I was there.
Try it. Jane, you can come to my last Happy Hour on November 12th.
5-7.
Black and red are my colors. Presents are welcome.
PS I saw Rock N Roll and I loved the second half.
And Jane, sorry you missed the Corine's Corner rolls. They were divine!
PSS I sat next to Mr Bentley from the Jefferson's! What a kick!!!
I wanted to ask him if he needed me to walk on his back.

Five days more
Until the Raku's date with destiny
Becomes another CoCo tragedy
These landlords want to raise the rent
Surely they are devil-sent
Five days more
How will I live without their rolls
Where will I have my happy hours
In five days they'll be gone away
You all should send them cards and flowers
Five days more
Five more nights
Five days morrrrrrrrrrre.
Where will I have my Happy Hours?
Bamboo 52, of course!
Wow. Are you Gerard Alessandrini.
That was good.
I sang it to the tune of the Le Miz number.
Omg. Maybe Namo is Philip George.
