Real Housewives Of New Jersey ( the train wreck has begun)

I know Jersey women that are like this. I also know some Long Island girls that are carbon copies of the ones in the new show. By no means representative of everyone there... but boy are they fun to watch.

I was wondering if anyone had some links with info on behind the scene stuff. Like crew, cameramen, producers.

@ DAME: You could try the BRAVO website or is it what you are looking for unofficial information?

@ljay889: The previews for the upcoming retreat episode looks BAH-NA-NAS!!

Bravo and the producers are EXTREMELY tight-lipped about the Housewives. They don't like any of the secrets leaked. But obviously the show, especially the past episode, is heavily staged by producers. I truly believe the producers stage the action and the discussions, just about everything besides the actual words.

For some occasional juicy behind the scenes info, follow Teresa's co-author, Heather MacLean. It's very Team Teresa though.

Also, the fired Alex Mccord did a video blog for every episode of season 5 of RHONY, and she leaked a lot of juicy info of what the producers normally do. It was very eye-opening. Bravo even tried several times to get her to take it down.

You could tell how it's staged (instigated) by the producers. The last episode when Joe, Melissa, Kathy and her husband went out to eat and "coincidentally" Kim shows up? C'mon! I smelled inside set up right away.

Yeah, for sure. Although I wouldn't be surprised if Kim D. follows the camera crew around NJ and pretends to act like she had no idea they were there.

That bitch is everywhere; I'm starting to think she's a clone or something.

Yes! I love that. They all happen to be at the same restaurant or gym with mics on! Yup. So realistic. If you treat it like a semi-real soap opera, it's perfectly enjoyable.

Rocks! I like Jennifer, too. I am glad they are finally showing her more. She filmed a ton throughout the season, supposedly as a main wife, but Bravo decided to just stick with the main/old 5 as the official cast.

Yeah, one of my family members is close friends with Gia Casey, who is apparently one of Teresa's best friends. She said they filmed a lot of her, but we've yet to see her so far this season!

I do have to say I'm getting a little sick of the Giudice/Gorga family drama. I hope they shake things up a bit for next season.

Yes! There have been many Gia Casey rumors. I'm curious if we'll ever see her. She seems like a good choice for season 6.

Next season needs a major shake-up! I say only keep Teresa and Melissa. I don't even like Melissa, but I can see why they'd keep her.

Knowing some former PAs (from the NY franchise) instigators is the best way to describe the way the producers tend to film. Of course a lot of parties and events are pre-arranged, and they will essentially whisper something to one of the wives, or, more often, one of the ancillary characters, such as Kim D, that they hope will set events in motion. They know these women enough to be able to predict the results pretty well, though it at times will take unexpected turns (I've heard Teresa's table flip from the end of the first season really surprised all of them).

I would imagine the table flip and the season 2 country club chase were both unplanned. Obviously the producers asked Teresa to confront Danielle after she came out of the bathroom, but I don't think they planned a full out chase with hair/weave pulling, broken heels, multiple police officers, and a Danielle vs Ashley lawsuit. Bravo and the women are all reportedly banned from that country club.

I like Melissa! I wouldn't say I'm "Team Melissa" (or "Team Tre" for that matter), but she doesn't bother me. And she's either a naturally talented stripper, or she's had some experience. I mean, let's be real.

Jacqueline seems...off this season. Almost like she's over-medicated (which is certainly understandable given her highly stressful situation with her son). Caroline quickly went from one of my favorites in the first two seasons to a know-it-all snob. If she's so much better than everyone else, why the hell is she still on the show? By now, she knows what its all about. And I actually like Kathy. She doesn't bring much to the table, but she seems pretty likable and is a warm presence, which the show sorely needs to balance out all the bitter fighting.

I never thought I'd say this, but I sorta miss Danielle and her "fake and square t*ts." Those first two seasons were reality TV gold, even if she was f*cking insane.

I do think they need to shake it up for the next season though. We're entering the third season that revolves mainly around the Giudice/Gorga drama. It's getting monotonous...how many times can Kim D. have an event where someone just happens to show up with information about Melissa's past, as if she was a terrorist?

I am finding this season incredibly boring....that is until this coming Sunday when it seems to "brighten up"....Bring back Danielle!
