misschung, Dina's husband Tommy co-owns The Brownstone with Albert (Caroline's husband). Dina and Caroline are sisters and sisters-in-law. Tommy refuses to be filmed on the show, but you may be able to catch him on a rerun of one of those wedding reality shows (I forget the name...they were on My Big Fat Fabulous Wedding or Platinum Weddings a few years before NJ Housewives aired). VH1 reran it last year and I saw it. Tommy was a DOUCHE. A player, an idiot and extremely arrogant and showy. (Caroline's husband appears to be much more down to earth) Tommy admitted to cheating on Dina before they got engaged. They spent an obnoxious amount of money on the wedding, and he made her miserable the whole time. I guess the money makes everything more palatable for her, but I could never stand being married to someone like that.

Oh...have you heard which one of the Housewives is headed into the recording studio next?

Thanks for clearing that up.

I can't even, with the song.

I love that Caroline used shaving as an excuse for exfoliation. There ARE other ways of exfoliating, no?

I exfoliate my face twice a week...with this! (it is excellent, btw)

Real Housewives of New Jersey: SEASON TWO

I think of an exfoliator as a scrub to clear away dead skin cells. Was she saying that she has hair all over her face? If that's the case I wonder why she just doesn't go for waxings.

Blueroses...I seem to remember this one guy whose name I believe was Tommy on an MTV show about getting married...it might have been "True Life".

Something like the limo was late and he infamously screamed "I will hunt you down and gut you like the cattle you are!"

Was that him?

LOL! I don't remember if that happened. I hope not! He was an ass, but I would hope that as the owner of a banquet hall he'd know to treat his staff with respect and courtesy.

I do remember Vicki Gunvalson, the OC Housewife, pitching a nasty fit about the "FAMILY VAN!" when car service came to pick them up for their trip.

Spendaholic 'Housewife of NJ' owes a big-hair-raising $11M
By JEANE MacINTOSH
Last updated: 9:47 AM June 5, 2010

She has a gaudy new mansion, pricey breast implants and spends thousands of dollars on shopping sprees for her spoiled brats -- but a New Jersey reality star and her goombah hubby are real-life deadbeats who owe $11 million, court records show.

Free-spending "Real Housewives of New Jersey" diva Teresa Giudice and her husband, Joe, make just $79,000 a year and are up to their tanned necks in liens, foreclosures and unpaid bills, according to bankruptcy papers filed in Newark federal court.

The Giudices say they owe creditors $10,853,648.04.

Teresa, known for her lust for designer clothes and expensive bling on the Bravo show, owes nearly $20,000 on credit cards for Bloomingdale's, Nordstrom and Neiman Marcus. In total, the Giudices show $104,000 in debt on at least eight credit cards.

The bank has moved to foreclose on the Giudices' $1.8 million, 10,500-square-foot, eight-bedroom, 5½-bath marble-and-onyx manse in Towaco, NJ, the couple moved into during the first season.

Teresa and Joe defaulted on their $1,280-a-month payment for the family's ubiquitous black Cadillac Escalade. They also didn't have insurance on the massive SUV, according to GMAC.

Teresa -- who this season told Joe to get a vasectomy -- owes $12,000 to a Garden State fertility clinic.

* Banks have taken the couple's $279,000 four-bedroom Jersey Shore house. The Giudices had three mortgages on the house and owed $325,000. The couple also handed over a $200,000 home in Lincoln Park, NJ, that had four mortgages -- and an outstanding debt of $600,000.

* Teresa and Joe owed another $1 million for property in Clifton, NJ, that has been given back to lenders.

On the show, Teresa famously dresses her four daughters in designer clothes, and last season dropped $2,000 in 10 minutes of shopping.

Yet, in bankruptcy papers, Teresa and Joe claim to spend just $400 a month on clothes.

On a recent "Real Housewives" episode, Teresa boasted that she dropped "a fortune" on daughter Gia's televised 9th birthday party. The child got an all-terrain vehicle, along with a trip to a spa in a pink stretch limo for her and her friends.

Joe, who "owns several successful businesses throughout New Jersey," according to his wife's Bravo bio, owes more than $5 million, including debts to former partners associated with his Section 8 real-estate deals.

In court papers, Joe, who owns a stucco and stone company, lists his monthly income as $3,250; Teresa pulls down $3,333 a month for her Bravo gig. The couple gets another $10,000 in "monthly assistance from family members."

WOW

Is downsizing a foreign word to these women? I guess no matter how under the table Joe's construction business looked it seemed he and his wife were just splurgers who really did not consider the economic impact on their lives, despite construction and real estate being the first hit by the economic downturn.

This makes Lynne's situation on OC look fine by comparison.

I am now picturing a 15 year flash forward when Gia and Teresa are the Mary and Mama Cherry of New Jersey (if you have ever seen the show Popular, you get what I am saying).

The Juicys are idiots. I hope they are served an eviction notice at the marble palace and that Gia answers the door.

First of all, I recommend the Pineapple Papaya facial scrub from Kiehls for a good exfoliant!

Secondly...every day I think about my credit card debt. It's daunting to me, and it makes me nervous. And then, I read about this. Thank you, Giudices, for making me feel superior YET AGAIN!

Thirdly...I believe the palace is onyx...not marble. Please keep this in mind going forward.

And fourthly...my hubband gave me Teresa's cookbook for my birthday. He thought it was hilarious...but there are some good recipes in there. And I'm sure not a one of them hers!!

My apologies...could have sworn Palazzo Giudice was onyx AND marble!

I can't believe the Juicys will pay for a freaking ATV, spa day and limo service for a nine year old's birthday party but refuse to pay their mortgage, PHONE BILL and car payments. (who doesn't pay their phone bill?) I hope she has to move into the crappy shore house with linoleum floors that Danielle tainted by sexing it up with Steve. (alluded to in the table flip episode)

If you already had three healthy children and knew you were flat-ass broke, would you look to have more that you couldn't afford...to the point of putting yourself even further in the hole with fertility treatments? And you just know Teresa and Joe are the kind to complain about people on welfare, when they're the biggest frauds and tax cheats going.

RobbieJ, re: Skinny Italian. Out of all of the Bravo Housewives, this is the book I think I'd actually like and find the most useful. I love cooking Italian food! I just can't bring myself to put any money in that bimbo's pocket.

Why do they get $10,000 a month from family assistance? Is it really family or is it "Family"?

Did Teresa even bother to include what Bravo pays her (the New York gals get $50 k per episode)? Or does she immediately cash her checks from Bravo to show off?

I thought I read that Teresa claims a little over $3k a month from Bravo. From what I understand, the NY women are the highest paid. (is it really $50K per episode, though? That seems extreme)

Oh...I know you're right about the marble...but she made such a big deal about the onyx that I simply had to bring it up!

And the shore house? Taken by the bank!

How is it possible for people to get $11M in debt when they make a combined income of $80K???? I mean, I know our financial system is f*cked, but COME ON!

If this means I have to look at the simian tot, Gia, modeling everywhere, I'm gonna jump.

Supposedly after the success of the second season the money for the NYC ladies jumped from $5K. Makes sense, nobody seems in financial straits on that show.

The whole reality tv thing will come back to bite her. I wouldn't be surprised if they referenced the shopping sprees in court/bank proceeding ('m not really sure what happens, seeing as I've never owed anyone 11 million bucks). And this makes me feel better about my student loans I still owe....

PS. I am beyond excited for tonight. I might even try to stay up to 11 to watch!!!

PPS. With all the craziness going on on this board, the RH threads are officially my favorite threads. And the only ones I feel safe replying to.
