I bet rosie will ease into the ensemble aspect of the show. I can imagine it's hard to go from solo host to group host. and she may have to fight that innate sense of feeling responsible for keeping the rhythm and humor of the show going. but the great thing about her is that she can do that if need be.
Every time I see Jessica Simpson sing, I can't help but stare at the faces she makes. I know most singers do that, but hers are quite intense, no?
so how did she do? it comes on out here in like 15.
I had to work and forgot to record it. I did dream last night that Rosie was at the table with the other girls playing with a koosh ball. Barbara got annoyed, grabbed it from Rosie and threw it in the garbage. Heh.

"Not only did she sound completely awful, but it's so so sooooooo bad for her vocal health!"
She always sounds like that.
What happened to Star Jones? Is she not on the show anymore?

Holy crap, have you been living on a desert island?
SH*T, I missed it!
I kept thinking her first day was the 15th!
Simpson stinks...that's her real problem.
I thought Rosie did a great job. I really like her point of view being added to the group. She's a comedian like Joy, mother like Elisabeth and Barbara is her mentor. She fits in so much better than Star Jones ever did.
But she wasn't replacing Star.

Rosie was hired to replace Meredith. They haven't named Star's successor. I just hope it's not Brandy or Katharine McPhee. They were totally boring and added nothing to the discussions. I'd like to see Gayle King get the job.

I think that Rosie on the View is a very good move. For the first time ina long time, I actually enjoyed the show. She is a great comdic match for Joy Behar.
I think she did a great job. She definitely seemed to be enjoying herself. I did notice a lot less cross talk. I think in a few weeks when they are all more comfortable with each other, it will be great. But she was hilarious and I was glad they didn't choose another newswoman to replace Meredith. (I was almost convinced it would have been Jane Pauley or Connie Chung) Good for Rosie!!
I didn't realized how much I missed seeing Rosie on TV. I'll be enjoying the View a lot more now that she's around. :)
Simpson should just button her mouth shut. That performance was awful. I had no idea she covered Patti Griffin's "Fly"! I like the Dixie Chicks cover better.
See what public education robs from it's children, Rosie on the View...
After watching Rosie do a fantastic job on The View today reminded me how much I miss her talk show. I used to tape it every day and watch it when I got home from work.
Looking forward to seeing more Rosie on The View!

Loved Rosie. Loved the new set. And I really love that it's being broadcast in wide-screen High-Def this season! That was a nice unexpected surprise! I think it's the first daytime show to go High-Def. All the more reason to watch and Tivo it.
Crap. My DVR erased it (I really need to clean it out...). So glad to hear it went well. Joy and Barbara never deserved all the tension that Star presented on that show.
I don't watch this show daily, but my mother does and she feels that The View that she liked is gone. I however loved Rosie's presence. She was awesome this morning.
I just read that Jessica may have been lip-synching today?

I really doubt that. She sounded horrible. She sounded like a girl who is trying to sing with a bruised vocal cord. Personally, I don't understand why she didn't lip synch in that situation if she felt like she just HAD to perform.
Definitely stupid, dangerous, and risky to sing on a bruised cord. However, I don't think a Simpson will ever again lip-synch to cover illness.
That's a pretty bold statement, Robb. Do you have backup for that?
