So glad to see the back of Joslyn Fox in last night's episode. Her mediocrity and lack of taste were really starting to bother me! I've seen posts disagreeing, but I did think that Adore out-lipsynced her :) Though Adore's transformation was by far the worst.
The only major quibble I have is that I think Dela and A La Mode should have won...
Well generally I prefer Bianca, she's my favourite this season, but I really did think that Dela did a better job on this challenge. So I was a bit surprised :)
I'll be happy when that goddamn Courtney Act sashays the hell away already, and I suspect the other contestants will be happy, too.

Courtney's playing for second at this point. Can they just give Bianca the crown already? She is perfect (get ready for some fanboying): Her look is camp and polished, she can read like no other but she has such heart. One of my favourite moments this season was how she went from having a cold, distant relationship with Trinity to seeing them clink glasses in the Untucked lounge laughing together. Not to mention she's pretty cute as Roy too. I have no doubt Bianca is going to win next weeks ball challenge. If she can make a dress on stage in three minutes she can pull out three distinct looks in 2 days.
I agree that Bianca SHOULD win, but I don't see it happening. They lost sponsors over Jinkx being more funny than pretty and since they caved on the She-mail "controversy" I don't see them having a full-out insult comic as the winner. I LOVE her stand up, it's witty and smart, but she throws around stereotypes and slurs in a way I can see people not wanting to pay her to represent them.

I understand where you're coming from, but she has the biggest fan base this season. I can't sign into twitter or facebook while an episode is on without seeing my feed overflowing with Bianca talk. Her minor celebrity status in New York also helps the show as many will associate with Drag Race. Again judging on the reaction on social media to Courtney, I feel there'll be more backlash should she win over Bianca. If not Bianca, I could possibly see DeLa winning
If Logo/WoW didn't cave in on the word Shemail, I'd agree completely. I just think they're on this delicate ledge of not having major sponsors and don't want to to take the risk of having a "Drag Race Winner in hot water saying this!" scandal that could cause a boycott.
She is very professional, polished, smart, and together. She does deserve to win and just might, but I think they'll give it to Ben de la Creme over Courtney. I guessed Courtney at the beginning because she's commercially pretty AND talented, but you're right, with her not being the most-liked at the moment they'd want to avoid alienating fans.
Courtney has also yet to have her soft/cry moment. She's been shaken and showed determination and improved, but still needs that humanizing moment. That could sway fans easier than you think.
At this point, Bianca would have to **** up massively in every remaining episode for popular opinion to move away from her. And I doubt she will because... how can she? She is on point. Always. She's far more savvy, smart, and adaptable than the rest of the queens. Probably moreso than any other contestant in the show's history.
NOTHING can turn an audience against a show than seeing the wrong person win. And I have yet to hear of anyone not firmly in camp Bianca.
It's too late for Courtney to recover on this show. She's bland. And where she's not bland, she's obvious. And where she's not obvious, she's boring. And now she's being portrayed as very unlikable and inflexible when it comes to responding to the (extremely valid) criticism that she relies on her looks.
Ben is a good runner-up, but my affection toward her has waned. She's just not dynamic and ends up like beta Jinkx.
"...everyone finally shut up, and the audience could enjoy the beginning of the Anatevka Pogram in peace."
I second everything Kad just said. Bianca is the only person I can think of in Drag Race herstory who is the absolute clear winner and has been since day 1.
Jinkx is also doing extremely well for herself following her win and was a fan favorite. I don't remember there being any sort of backlash against her winning. She's one of the strongest performers the show has had, which more than overshadowed her less polished looks. She's also one of the queens with more potential to break into the mainstream than any other winner.
Bianca is overall a better comedy queen, but what she does and what Jinkx does are two totally different things. I'd pay to see Jinkx do musical comedy or a cabaret (and have!). I'd pay to see Bianca do stand-up or host a show. But not vice-versa.
But there is no real tension this season because Bianca is just SO much better than everyone else. In and out of drag.
"...everyone finally shut up, and the audience could enjoy the beginning of the Anatevka Pogram in peace."
Well, it's not a beauty pageant or even a drag pageant, it's about the next drag "superstar." That's not about pretty. In that case, Courtney would still be a contender. Bianca is the most talented. Jinx was the most talented last year. I don't think Sharon was the most talented, but she brought something new to the table.
Pretty pretty please don't you ever ever feel like you're less than f**ckin' perfect!
Oh, exactly Jordan. Ru made the right decision picking Jinkx. They'd have probably kept a sponsor but lost a majority of viewers (or at the very least enraged them). I was merely stating for whatever reason she was not Absolut's vote and there was a bit of a dust-up "their choice" wasn't taken under consideration.
This is the second consecutive year where there was supposedly an Absolut choice that not only did not end up being the winner but their pick was the least liked of the finalists. Pretty sure they also wanted Phi Phi to win in Sharon's year. Maybe Absolut just found out their idea of drag spokesperson was already being rejected by much of the audience, so why bother sponsoring.
"PhiPhi winning would have been exactly like RoXy winning. There's another vile human being."
At least with Phi Phi and Sharon, Sharon was just as quick to fight back. RoXy always went for Jinkx because she knew Jinkx wouldn't fight back. A sneaky bitch is worse than a loud bitch in my opinion.
Everyone harps on about how RoXy was the biggest bitch least season, and yes, while she may have been the nastiest of season five, a lot of people seem to (or choose to, perhaps) forget how nasty Detox could be. Leaving the letters for Alaska and RoXy and not Jinkx is a prime example. Only now when I watch back over season 5 do I really realise just how cunning she could be.
I'd rather not reveal my sources, but I have a very close friend who works on the show. It's not documented, so take it as hearsay if you want, but he has no reason to lie and his other tidbits have all been true.
Absolut had been unhappy with Ru's picks from previous seasons as well. They wanted Manilla, PhiPhi, and RoXy to win. There was already resentment at their "suggestions" being ignored (for damned good reasons) so I wouldn't be surprised if they'd already been told "no, it's not going to be RoXy" during negotiations for season 6.
