Posted: 1/27/08 at 9:52pmnygrl23, Sara lost 22 pounds since November. She's still curvy, but there's not a lot of fat anywhere anymore.

Posted: 1/27/08 at 9:53pmI think anything could happen in the supporting actress Oscar catagory. Blanchett is well liked, but won a couple of years ago and a lot of people hated that movie. Ruby Dee is well respected but has a tiny, tiny role. Ryan and Swinton have their supporters. Supposedly, Michael Clayton has a surprisingly strong support base in AMPAS, so I definitely wouldn't rule her out either...

Julie Christie is class herself.
I always forget how talented Angelina Jolie is.
Ellen Page is the cutest thing ever, can't get enough of her.

Posted: 1/27/08 at 10:03pmthat's because she's gets so swept up in other **** ray and doesn't show her talent . (regard Jolie)

"The studio system is backfiring... AWFULLY."
I'm horrified that Josh Brolin said it... but it's true dat.
Everything is changing now.

Daniel Day-Lewis made me teary-eyed, he really did seem sad.
NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN is winning the Oscar.
Liverpool, with all the tabloid BS that follows Julie is indeed easy for me to forget that she actually is a good actress.
I hope someone posts Marion Cotillard presenting Bardem with the SAG on youtube, can't believe I missed that.

Posted: 1/27/08 at 10:07pmwait, what did he say? i was only halfway paying attention.

Posted: 1/27/08 at 10:08pmDon't get me wrong, I LOVE Julie Christie, but she looked like she was styled by Warren Beatty back in 1975. Josh Brolin was very funny, great speech. I can't believe Woody Harrelson has a SAG award!

Tom said goodnight. The camera panned back. Nobody moved. Sara jumped up and adjusted the dress like she did at the Tony's while everyone around her was still seated. It made me giggle.
I enjoyed the show.

I caught that as well and laughed out loud. Too funny.
I loved the way Julie Christie was dressed. Like I said, a true original.

Posted: 1/27/08 at 10:18pmYeah, I remember when Tom Cruise used to get loud applause- now it's just uncomfortable.

Jersey Girl 2, that's cool she dropped some pounds. She looks fabu.
Besty, I'm not watching the awards, but I gotta wonder what Josh Brolin meant by that. Not that it's offensive or anything, just asking for clarification.

Posted: 1/27/08 at 10:35pmWhat's weird, Mom, is that they keep letting him present the big awards (i.e, the last award of the evening). Bizarre.

For whatever it's worth, Tom Cruise looked like he would have rather been popping anti-depressants with Brooke Shields than being on that stage. He looked SO uncomfortable.
I just LOOOOVE Sara Ramirez. Her dress was smokin'

Posted: 1/27/08 at 10:39pmYeah, I don't get why they keep letting TC give out the big awards either. After seeing that Scientology video, I can never look at him the same. I'm only talking about his actions on the video which seemed bizarre to me- not about his religion as I'm all for religious freedom. There are so many other big name actors who could have given out the final award- why him?
