I would like to see the final two to be Sugar and Matty. Only beacuse I cant figure out the votes. If Bob goes it's a lock. If Kenny goes with anyone but Bob, he wins. Kenny is playing this game strictly for the jury. They think he turned on the alliance they hate so much..
GO SUSIE!!!!!!!!!!
lol..just kidding

Susie has to know by now that there is no way she can win unless someone does something so heinous, the entire jury will vote out of sheer hatred and forget about gameplay entirely.
I'm hoping for a Sugar/Bob final two, but is it going to be a final 3 this season? I never liked that setup. The thing I don't understand is why Crystal was the target unless it was strictly so that Bob could honor his word with Kenny regarding the stupid immunity idol bargain. Then all that needed to happen was to let Bob vote Crystal and then Sugar could have told the others to vote Kenny. Honestly, Sugar really deserves to win at this point the way she has controlled the outcome of the last few tribal councils. And the way she covered her bases this week was exquisite. She figured out how to give away the idol and not be targeted at the same time, which was absolutely brilliant.
Randy is such a tool. Yeah, that mohawk really compliments his glasses and bitter expression. You can tell he thinks he is such an intimidating badass. I'm surprised (and relieved) Sugar didn't burst out into gales of laughter when he walked in.

Matt, I'm pretty sure it's going to be a Final 3, given that the finale is Sunday and there are still five people left (they couldn't squeeze in three immunity challenges and TCs, including the final TC, in that amount of time), and also that the jury would have an even number of people with only two leaving the possibility of a deadlocked tie.
I missed the season where there was a Final 3. What do they do if there's a tie? I would assume revote with only the top two vote getters in the running, but wouldn't they have to take care of that before they came back?

Actually, they had three consecutive seasons with an F3 finale:
Cook Islands (Becky, Ozzy, Yul)
Fiji (Dreamz, Cassandra, Earl)
China (Amanda, Courtney, Todd)
Fans Vs. Favorites was when they returned to an F2 finale, but apparently for only one season. I hate the F3 finale. If this is the case, I can only hope it is Matty, Sugar and Bob. That would be the most deserving finale. The most supsenseful would probably be Matty, Sugar and Kenny. But the wisest for Sugar would probably be a Sugar, Kenny, and Susie F3.

Ha. I guess I missed more seasons than I thought. I don't remember Fiji at all. There was really someone named Dreamz? Lol.
Did any of those address what happens in case of a tie?

The wisest choice for ANY of them would be to take Susie to the end.. I mean..c'mon..She doesn't deserve second but whatever it takes to win...
I HATE when people that do nothing go to the end.
And then I always argue with myself...if coat tailing and doing nothing gets you to the finals..well? it worked for them, right? So the "strategy" works.GRRR!

That's kind of what I think. You can only have so many "power players" or those who perceive themselves as "power players" going at each other once. If you manage to get to the end I think you're as deserving as anyone else. I'll qualify that to say "within reason," because some folks really are dead weight.
Calvin, Dreamz (which of course was not his real name) was a friggin idiot. I never remember too much from season to season, so someone like Mister Matt (whose memory for reality minutiae is unparalleled) could probably give some examples. There was some handwringing about promise he made with an idol, I think.

You know, I really don't remember what the tie scenario is for an F3 finale. In Fans Vs. Favorites, there was a mysterious white envelope that contained some sort of instructions in case of a tie, but it was never revealed. This could be the closest we may come to a three-way tie in the actual finale unless they vote out Sugar, which would be a smart, but depressing result in the next two tribal councils now that there is no hidden immunity idol in play. She is completely vulnerable now and everyone knows it. Kenny will probably be gunning for her, which is why he should have been voted out this week instead of Crystal. Crystal just hasn't shown any decent skills at all except being pissy and clinging on to Kenny for dear life.
clever - Coat tailing never wins unless there is a HUGE amount of personal hatred towards the other finalists. That is how Vacepia won. Nobody like goody two-shoes Neleh who forgot to bring back any food from her reward and instead offered a piece of candy she had been sucking on for about half an hour.
Calvin - Dreamz was a real piece of work. He was practically dragged kicking and screaming to the finish simply as a lame duck since everyone knew he wouldn't get any votes. And even Cassandra didn't know how she got there. That was probably the worst season in Survivor history. It was the only season that resulted in a unanimous vote for the winner. Well, it was less of a vote and more like a shrug of indifference. Dreamz was considered an annoying snake and Cassandra was useless. The best thing to come out of that season was Yau-Man who is more commonly declared the real winner of the season. He got shafted right at F4 because everyone knew he deserved to win. Sort of like Cirie, but at least she got a tie vote and lost due to her fire-making abilities. The funny thing was, since it was a 0-0 tie for second place, they both got the second place prize money and Yau-Man was award the third-place prize (plus he won the truck).
I can't remember...is the car curse still in effect or was that finally broken?

I can't remember, either. When was the last time they gave away a car? Did they do that last season?
And Neleh! Oh my HECK!

HA! I don't know how many times I've used that phrase since then.

SOOOO happy they voted Crystal off. I couldn't STAND her!
Fascinating twists and turns this season. One of my favorites.
Dreamz. Oh lord, I'd forgotten...
I'm rooting for Bob. I just love him.

That model. That snotty model that slept all day and hated everyone. What was her name? Even the deaf girl that she made fun of voted for her. She coat tailed all the way to a win. They voted for her because they didn't like that wierd guy that came in second.
ugh, I hated that girl.

The car curse has NOT been broken yet, but it's been a couple of seasons since they've given one away.
As for the "coattails person" the most famous winner of that one was Sandra, who won Pearl Islands, which is a season probably best known for inflicting Rupert on us (the first time). The only thing I remember about Sandra was that after Rupert got voted out (shortly after the merge) she was upset and took all of the fish from around camp (all of which were caught by Rupert) and destroyed them. I believe that was also the season we had to deal with "Big Lil" the boy scout leader.
Aside from Yao-Man (who Bob reminds me a LOT of, actually), in my opinion, the best player to not win was Cirie, who got shafted twice. She was absolutely brilliant in the otherwise forgettable Fans vs. Favorites season (wtf...Parvati won????), managing to engineer a number of blindsides, but in doing so, avoided people thinking she had anything to do with it.

GOODNESS GRACIOUS!
That's all I can say after Thursday night.
What an incredible episode.
These producers must be thrilled... just like seasons before it, these players are writing the plot themselves. NEVER would I have even pieced together such an intricate past 2 episodes.
Another fake idol, no fake idol play, Sugar change of heart, Bob victory, Matty proposal, Kenny votes Matty, Sugar gives away idol, Crystal goes... my gawd these schemes and plans are just ingenious.
My hopes:
Kenny OUT now!!!
Susie used as a pawn to get...
Bob 1st
Sugar 2nd
Matty 3rd

I just don't see any conceivable way for Bob to make it the finals, without continuing his immunity streak. Anyone would be stupid to bring him along, because he'd clean up in votes. Corrine, Charlie, and Marcus would all vote for him in a heartbeat, and then he'd only need one other person to vote for him to win. Susie is a smart choice to take to the end because she'd never win. In fact, I'd be surprised if she didn't coast in to the final 3, and then not receive a single jury vote.
I do admire Crystal's classy exit. It was nice, after having to sit through the nonsense of Corrine and Randy.
One thing is certain, this jury is going to have a lot of bs and nonsense to spout Sunday night.

And I can't wait! This is one bitter jury!
#171SURVIVOR: GABON
Posted: 12/13/08 at 4:30pmIt's going to be one bitter jury... But my biggest question is how informed is the jury (really!) to the extent at which Kenny's dirty hands (and fingernails) had in ALL of their demises.

The delay sucked.
What HAPPENED to the car give away the past few seasons? Far as I know the car curse still stands.
Rob Cesternino (non-Boston Rob) was also a great non-winning player. Very strong strategist, but just couldn't get it. What about Stephanie? She didn't win either, right?
