Boy, could Jane have been any stupider? The worst thing you can do if you think you're going home is become a loose cannon. Which she was ever since she decided Marty was her mortal enemy for reasons she made up all on her own. I really wasn't sorry to see her go at all.

If Chase ends up winning this thing, it will be mostly by accident. He has made so many ridiculous mistakes, but they seem to be working in his favor in terms of sticking around, but if he makes it to the end, I don't think the jury will be very happy with him.

Sunday the finale? They had two people quit, yet they are going to wrap up a double elimination (I'm assuming they will pick three for the final) and final tribal? How disappointing. Perhaps they were over budget this season?

I can't stand Chase. He just strikes me as one of those societal wusses who is so afraid of making somebody mad at him the he ultimately makes everybody mad at him.

You're totally right, Calvin. I have more respect for Holly and Fabio with regards to gameplay. I found myself rooting for Fabio last night.

OH! And who'd have thought Dan would have a pair of hottie twin sons?!?! Yowza!

I GOT SOOOO WEEPY from last night's episode!
The loved-ones always just make a limp sobbing puddle of sissy outta me! (Guess I just miss mine, and Xmas is around the corner)

I wasn't sad to see Jane go. Like she said in her farewell message: "That's Survivor" ... The sh*t always hits the fan near the bottom 6 and she was the victim. It was the logical choice for everyone, really.

My support is 50/50 for Holly or Chase.

Jane really wasn't a victim. She played the victim from the very beginning, but in actuality, she wasn't at all. And she really threw it away in that episode. The one thing I did not like was the Probst really tried to manipulate the votes. But it wasn't enough because Jane only made things worse for herself at tribal by calling everyone out. She could have had a shot if she had worked harder with Dan and Fabio instead pissing everyone off and supplying them with more reasons to get rid of her as quickly as possible. She was a victim of herself.

I will say one thing about Chase and that he has been taking some risks. Not always planned risks and not always wise risks, but things have been working out for him. I'm afraid the only way he might win, though, is if he takes Dan and Fabio with him. Holly turned out to be a pretty smart cookie and people recognized Sash as a strategic threat early on. Both of them could wipe up the floor with Chase at final tribal. Dan really has nothing to show for his position other than being a threat to no one at any point in the game and I don't know if Fabio has it in him to play the jury well at final tribal.

I'm still trying to figure out why, if Chase and Sash are in an alliance with Holly, after all the manipulating Jeff was doing, one of them didn't give her his idol just to make sure Jane would go home. Had the three bonded together, they'd have a tie, and Jane most likely would have wiped the floor with Holly if it came to fire starting (is that what it would come to?). One of them, at the last moment, giving his idol wouldn't have put the giver in harm and prevented a possible disastrous tie.

Of course, I don't get why Fabio and Dan didn't vote for Holly anyway, so...

clever - Thank you! I was thinking the same thing when they showed her vote at the end!

There has to have been something we didn't see in the editing that must have included either a side deal or that Dan and Fabio felt having Jane in an alliance was a bigger threat than being in a minority alliance.

I can't stand Chase. He's not very intelligent and comes across as a typical, redneck Southern boy. He claims he's playing the game with "honor" but has lied more than anyone there. I hate people who pretend to play Survivor (where lying is part of the game) with honor. It's not possible, and when they have to lie they come up with all these weird justifications for it and end up looking even worse. People need to just accept the fact that Survivor involves lying.

I'm glad Sash didn't win because if he did this season would've had a predictable winner from the very beginning like Todd from "China."

I'm a bit surprised that Sash didn't get any votes.

And I think the new game format next season sounds great! They definitely need to mix things up a bit, so the old strategy of forming alliances has to be revised. Will be fascinating to see how it plays out. I'm looking forward to it.

Also glad they addressed the issue of whether or not people who quit can or should remain on the jury. I think it was completely wrong for them to allow Naonka and Kelly to remain and have ANY say in the final. They should have been kicked off the island entirely.

Naonka came across as a complete idiot tonight. She did nothing to redeem herself. I enjoyed the way Jeff just dismissed people who said the wrong thing.

So... not one of the best seasons, but, it definitely got interesting for a while...

ps - TOTALLY awkward moment when Jeff asked Jane how much she makes! None of his damn business! He could have handled it very differently. I felt sorry for her, as she seemed a bit put on the spot. And probably had no intention of sharing her annual income with the entire TV watching country!

The twist next seaason is going to be interesting. I'm trying to figure out how it's going to play out -- will someone who got voted out fourth from last get to come back straight to the final Tribal? That hardly seems fair. Do they come back and compete for immunity? Basically it would mean they'd be fighting to stay alive because there's no WAY they wouldn't get voted right out. Just a little confused on the details, but the idea is pretty interesting. It'll be interesting to see if someone manages a long time on the island, only to get kicked out and then voted player of the year because of that whereas before they would have just been forgotten.

I love the reunion shows but the one thing that drives me crazy every single season is that they don't show how everyone voted. I can try and guess but I would really like to know for sure.

I imagine there will be a cutoff point where Redemption will no longer be in play, similar to the use of the hidden immunity idol. They don't like to offer any free rides to the final four with the exception of the immunity challenge. Sounds like an interesting idea, especially since they have to duke it out to get back in.

Congrats to Fabio. I'm really happy he won, though I never would have imagined it from the first two-thirds of the season. But it only goes to show how vitally important the social aspect of the game is and how it has always been. People get so caught up in the strategy and game play, they forget the single most important element of Survivor. Unless they don't need the money and only want notoriety...Russell, they have to constantly be aware of how their behavior will affect the others once the jury starts to form. Ignoring that means you only planned to get to the end or you have never actually watched the show. Chase did better than I expected at the final tribal, but I was surprised he got as many votes as he did. His biggest mistake was not mentioning how people would address his behavior as "betrayal", "wishy-washy", "flip-flopping", "paranoid" and other negatively tinged remarks, but they described the EXACT SAME BEHAVIOR of Sash as "strategy". Had Chase identified that and ran with it, he might have actually pulled the extra vote for the win. I didn't expect Sash to get any votes. He burned too many bridges.

I really don't get why Jane was anyone's favorite player. I would have given the money to Holly over Jane. Jane was a vindictive, bitter, delusional woman. She wasn't "fluffed off" (whatever that means). She just didn't get what she wanted the first week and decided to blame the others. What a pill.

Favorite moment: Probst cutting off Shannon the moment Shannon confirmed he is in fact an immature douchebag. Probst did not want to grant him any more attention whatsoever. Nicely done.

I am happy that Fabio won. I think everyone seriously under estimated him. I was thrilled that Sash didn't get any votes.

I totally wanted to punch Alina in the face last night when she was talking about that man vs. boy crap. It was like she was casting her vote for who she was most attracted to.

Jane is no country bumpkin farmer -- she owns a kennel and had a dog win at Westminster last year. I'm betting a lot of dog people, Seniors and Southerners voted for her.
