Cohen did sing in Sweeney Todd(it was him)If he could pull it off,I say have him sing but if not,to be safe,I'd use Freddie's vocals.

The problem is, Freddie's voice was pretty distinctive.

Then again, that's how I felt about Patsy Cline, and I believe Beverly D'Angelo did her own singing in COAL MINER'S DAUGHTER, and she pulled it off.

Maybe I'm just being over-protective of a favorite.

That's what I thought. Unless you can do a spot on imitation of the voice, it's best to go with the original vocals for these films. (And I adored SELENA and think it proves that while Lopez doesn't always choose the best roles, she's a damn fine actress)

I'd say go for Freddie's vocals.

People will spend too much time scrutinising his singing ability and likeness rather than focusing on the overall performance.
