Sandi Patty's Carnegie Hall Christmas Concerts

Sandi Patty is performing her Christmas concert at Carnegie Hall this Friday and Saturday with the New York Pops. She really is quite phenomenal.

She just released a Christmas DVD, and you can watch a promo video here. All of the arrangements will be similar if not identical to what will be performed this weekend at Carnegie Hall.

I've met her before! Her family always rents costumes from the costume shop where I work every Halloween. She's a really nice person.

I attended the Saturday night performance. What an incredible evening. She looked incredible and sounded as amazing as ever. What an incredible voice still at 53 years old.

A friend of mine told me that some folks organized a tribute to her Friday night at the Laurie Beachman Theater where people got up and spoke about how she inspired them and sang some of her songs and that she heard about it and showed up and stayed the entire evening. She was very moved by it.

Was anyone there that could provide any details?

I was there Friday night for both Carnegie Hall and Sandi's tribute at the After Party. Brandon Cuttrell, host of the After Party every Friday night, is a huge Sandi fan and arranged a Broadway Celebrates Sandi Patty tribute.

I really like the clip of Sandi doing "For Good" - you can feel that she genuinely appreciates her fans' support.

And her voice is gorgeous, as always.
