Sarah Palin's Daughter Preganant. Babygate Scandal Getting Ready to Explode

Still does not answer why Sarah's baby who was born on April 18th is not listed at the hospital he was supposedly born at.
Does not explain how she was a s big as a house with her other 4 pregnancies but very thing with her 5th.
Why would a public official who was elected into office keep such a thing a secret for so long? Why would she not want anyone to know she was pregnant but at the same time want them to know they knew the child had down syndrome but decided to have it anyways?
Why was the same daughter taken out of school for 5 months? Is this her 2nd child?
LOTS of unanswered questions. This will only fuel speculation. I also find it hard to believe McCain knew about this before Friday. Why would she not release this information right away? Instead the media had to dig to find it. Why would any politician want a story to surface after the media digs? Sorry, I am not buying it.Hopefully the American people won't either.

We have been blessed with five wonderful children who we love with all our heart and mean everything to us. Our beautiful daughter Bristol came to us with news that as parents we knew would make her grow up faster than we had ever planned. We're proud of Bristol's decision to have her baby and even prouder to become grandparents. As Bristol faces the responsibilities of adulthood, she knows she has our unconditional love and support."
"Bristol and the young man she will marry are going to realize very quickly the difficulties of raising a child, which is why they will have the love and support of our entire family. We ask the media to respect our daughter and Levi's privacy as has always been the tradition of children of candidates."

I agree with that - we can question the mom, and her fitness, but leave the children out of this.
The one thing I ask is why would she even accept the nod, knowing the situation with her daughter, and the scrutiny that will be placed on her and her entire family.
Maybe this is a Harriet Miers play - and they will bring someone else in...

Why was the same daughter taken out of school for 5 months for mono? I think this is her 2nd child and I pray the media does not just stop now. I hope they dig and force her to answer these questions. The MSM NEEDS to ask these questions if they want the story to go away. Also, if McCain knew about this why would they leak it during the week of the GOP convention? PUH-LEASE!
Let me just ask you between a pregnant 17-year-old daughter and a Down Syndrome baby what the hell is this parent DOING running for the White House right now?

Sarah Palin can't parent her own kids but wants to tell us how to parent ours.BTW, nice news dump in the middle of Gustav too.
Republicans want to teach our children abstinence that it's what the bible wants us to do. Clearly this girl hasn't learned sh*t
And here's my 2 cents -some of the biggest trouble makers in school were the ones that had religion shoved down their throats.

Sarah Palin will come out and ask all the "saints" to pray for her daughter and Levi. All will be well. In a slightly perverted way this makes the Palin appear even more down-to-earth. She has a wayward daughter despite her Christian upbringing.
Honestly, I thought her daughter was preggers the first moment I spotted her on the tube a few days back. And I'm not convinced that this is Bristol's first pregnancy either. Those folks can't pull any wool over these eyes. The Palin family and the one I came out of have far more in common than I'd ever admit in this forum.
Now, let me float a conspiracy theory of my own damnit...what if the 1st child was a product of incest...there's something about Troopergate that's brimming beneath the surface.
Why must we send Tonya Harding to the White House?

Posted: 9/1/08 at 12:50pmIn all seriousness, it sounds like her family needs her more than the country does. Honestly, what was she thinking when she said "yes" to McCain?

Posted: 9/1/08 at 1:05pmAs far as I know, a Vice President does a hell of a lot less than a governor. So, maybe she decided that being Vice President of the United States was just the break she needed, to care for a baby with a disability and a teenaged pregnancy. Who knows? I'm surprised anyone really cares.

Unless of course, John McCain dies, then the job does kind of pick up.

This election is getting more and more farcical every five minutes.
Also, I'd really like to know how Palin plans to run the US in case of McCain's death if she can't even get her own daughter to follow her rules.
This woman does not need to be running for the WHite House right now. Clearly she has bigger things to worry about within her own family.

Palin threw her daughter under the bus. These pregnancy rumors existed long before Palin was selected to run for veep. The truth about the girl's pregnancy was going to come out soon enough, so Palin could have prevented all of this on day one with a simple "by the way" statement. Instead, they waited until the rumors simmered for a while before smacking them down for maximum political impact, causing even more grief for the poor girl.
Now they're trying to insinuate that Obama had something to do with it by saying "liberal blogs" have his name in them.
What is Sarah Palin's husband's role in all this? In the State of Alaska's governor's office why was he CC:'d copies of emails meant for Sarah Palin only.

I think the McCain camp should focus on the convention and let the MSM do the vetting for him. Its much easier.

I agree with everyone who says the kids are off limits.
Having said that, did you know in Finnish "Bristol" means "tramp"? It's true. Bristol's motto is "Never put off for tomorrow what you can put out for tonight." Her other motto is "Better laid than never." Oh, it was just... Krazy Glue couldn't keep her legs together! Bristol's thoughts on the women's movement? "It's best from the waist down!" Tramp, I'm telling you. Her idea of a formal evening is putting sheets on the bed. She's been turned more ways than a Rubik's Cube. When somebody asked Bristol what her sign was she said "Yield!"

Posted: 9/1/08 at 1:47pmAs a Democratic teen with Republican parents, it pains me to hear that the parents get slack for their kid's choices. If my mom was running for office and I had something bad going on, it shouldn't discredit my mom (who adores Sarah, cause they both have five kids). After a certain age there's no association between a parent's choices and the choices of their children. My parents are pro-abstinince, but I'm not. It's like when people expect me to have the same views as my parents: I THINK FOR MYSELF. By merging Sarah's choices with her daughter's choices you are saying they are incompetent for thinking for themselves, which regardless of political party, is not right.
