Sarah Palin's Daughter Preganant. Babygate Scandal Getting Ready to Explode

Posted: 9/1/08 at 3:13pmBristol will write a tell all book when she is older. By then she will not be on speaking terms with her Mom and out of rehab for the third time. She will be an advocate to teen mothers and contribute to programs such as Head Start. She will tell how her Mom FORCED her to have the baby and get married. She will write how her Mom put herself first over her family. It would not surprise me if Sarah had a few abortions along the way herself.

I read that this "young man" may be 45 years old, and only works part-time.
OK, say that's it's great she is keeping the baby and marrying the father. Is this not the wrong way for marriage to happen? Because of an unwanted pregnancy? I fail to see *any* moral high ground here.
Every day some other skeleton is falling out of this woman's professional and/or personal closet,

How old is the friggin' trooper who would be Bristol's ex-uncle by marriage???

"Asked if Ms. Palin will be able to judge the demands of the vice-presidency with her complicated family life, Mr. Schmidt said, “She’s been a very effective governor and again I can’t imagine that question being asked of a man.”"
...good point from Schmidt. But still. This is getting WAY out of hand.

#108Bobby Jindal: put on a raincoat and head to St. Paul

Surely they are gnashing their teeth over McMaverickn's decision to overlook Jindal. Can you imagine cutting from the conventin to the man doing a heckovajob? He may look like Gizmo in the old GREMLINs movie come to life, but he's right wing, prochoice, and Southern. And can babble about the number of water bottles en route to the bus terminal. Now they're stuck with a woman worthy of a Moliere play --

I hope that pic is photoshopped!
Why would McCain choose her without any real qulifications or background to be one heart beat away from the Presidency with the knowledge that her 17 year old daughter was pregnant? Either he is more stupid than we thought, or lying.

Posted: 9/1/08 at 4:25pmBut Bristol is being brave and courageous because she is choosing to have her baby! Oh puleeze! I am so sick of this! If she knew her daughter was pregnant, she shouldn't have taken this "nomination". If she really wanted to protect her daughter, she wouldn't put her in this limelight. The righteous Christians say no sex before marriage and this clearly did not happen with Bristol! This is not good families values! I certainly don't hope they use it to glorify teen mothers choosing to keep their babies. I don't ever remember this much drama in a VP choice! This election is just getting too nasty! Now, Sarah, try comparing your daughter to Hillary's! Just sayin'

Posted: 9/1/08 at 5:30pmYes, they should definitely not be brought into this. IF the mother renounces telling other women how to parent and live their lives.

I know. As juicy as all this is, I kind of feel bad for the daughter. It's hard not to talk about it. LOL, remember no one was allowed to mention Chelsea Clinton's appearance back when Bill was running?

If Obama's daughter's were older and in this same situation, the GOP and media would be all over this. The articles I've read are making her out to be a hero for keeping the baby, lot's of young mothers keep the baby. Plus being un-wed and not 18, that doesn't sound in line with the GOP.
Also, I'm tired of hearing about Sarah keeping the child with downs (if hers). Again, lots of mothers would not abort a child because of downs or any other known disability.

Wayne Campbell said "Though adolescence has been less than kind," about Chelsea Clinton, "she's a babe-in-development." A statement that was both accurate and prescient. Made by a fictional character.
Sarah Palid is a woman who is being presented as one who has and does it all and who was trumpeted, on VP announcement day, as a new hero of a Republican squawking head on MSNBC because the woman wanted to know how Palid "does it!" The answer, if applying Palid's own home-schooling, faith-based moral absolutism to the equation, is not very well, to be more than kind in my assessment.
Nothing personal against promiscuous Brillo, or Whistol, or whatever her name is, but she IS a living, breathing, procreating example of hypocrisy and double standards.
So let's not discuss her as a child, or an emblem, but rather as a symptom of one particular fundamentalist disease of the US body politic.
How's that?

Posted: 9/1/08 at 5:58pmI agree and if it was Obama's daughter it would be all over the media and the republicans would be out saying that he had no family values and he was unethical for his daughter having pre martial sex....also they would be calling the daughter a slut...but because she is a republican she is brave...whatever

Namo, please- Wayne Campbell????? that doesn't count!
Truth is, media began to print and air unkind things about Chelsea, and then a kibash was put on any such talk.

Yeah, so let's discuss the mother, the one who is running for office.
"How's that?"
I give it an 80-it's hard to dance to.
