"As Obama mentioned, now that the GOP has 41 Senate seats, and they insist on 60 votes to get anything done,"
Stop and think about the stupidity of that statement.
Obama had an entire year where he had carte blanche. A whole year of both House and Senate majority. He could have pushed through any legislation he wanted. All he got out of it was "a wise Latina" on the Supreme Court and giving terrorists trials in NYC.
Obama lives to blame other people. He is not a good leader and blames other people for it.
And if you think he won't use Executive Orders to have his way, you are sadly mistaken.

I, and many others, have been critical of the Dems inability to accomplish their objectives. Obama deserves his fair share of the blame for that. There are many weapons that he, Harry Reid, and Tim Kaine chose not use.
That said, going forward, I stand by my statemenet regarding the GOP and the Senate.

Well, duh !, we have to pay for the 2 wars, Medicare Part D and Bush-era tax cuts, all of which was started/passed under the Republicans, who did not bother actually...you know...funding all this stuff.
#30Sarah The Quiter & Hypocrite Caught Reading Notes Off Her Hand at Tea Party
Posted: 2/8/10 at 10:54amYeah..I believe it was the Republicans who thought it was a good idea to start two wars while giving tax cuts to the rich. I'm sorry but IMHO, if you are a Republican and start to bitch about the deficit...you have absolutely zero credibility.
#31Sarah The Quiter & Hypocrite Caught Reading Notes Off Her Hand at Tea Party
Posted: 2/8/10 at 10:56amWhy do deficits only matter to Republicans when Democrats are in power? No one would have been able to balance the budget in our country's current situation. Anyone who says otherwise is lying.

When the Republicans were in power, we didn't have a 10% unemployment rate. The Democrat model is to tax and spend, but in order for that to work, we have to have people working so they can be taxed.
And Obama has already racked up over a trillion dollars in debt with dumb ideas like "Cash for Clunkers."

Yes the 10% unemployment rate is the Obama administrations fault. Jobs just suddenly disappeared when he took office. This has nothing to do with the past 8 years of disastrous economic policy.
Goth...do you really think Palin is a viable Presidential candidate? REALLY?

Cash for clunkers pretty much saved the auto industry. What's dumb about that?
So let's ignore Palin's crib notes. She called for a third war- this one with Iran. What do you think of that?
She criticized Obama for speaking off a teleprompter in a speech she read in it's entirety. She stood at a lectern and lectured about how the president shouldn't stand at a lectern and lecture. She said that she doesn't need to be a leader or hold a elected office and said she was considering running for president. She said she was rejecting the $100,000 fee she was paid and would instead "donate ' it to her Campaign PAC- which has spent the bulk of it's money buying her own book.

Cash for Clunkers was Obama's way of throwing a bone to unions. Any idea of it having saved the auto industry is ridiculous.

Unions, union workers at assembly plants, the truck drivers who deliver those cars to the dealerships, The guys who park their "Snack wagons" outside the plant, Car dealers, car salesman, auto financing companies...Yes, Obama threw them a bone. Stupid Obama.
My boyfriend works in a (non-union) plant building and repairing robots used on auto assembly lines (among other places). His plant was being required to take 1 week of unpaid furlough time out of every 12 weeks of work, pre-Cash for clunkers. That was suspended and now, he is putting in about 10 hours of overtime a week while they interview new workers.
As Sarah Palin might say "What you don't know would fill a library, buster."

Health care for all, lower premiums and better coverage and we don't pay a penny, trust them. This is awesome! GREAT IDEAS!

"That's IT? LOL!"
It's better than the Democrat's idea of putting people in jail for not buying healthcare especially when there's no public option.

She wrote notes on her hand. I mean...even Bush had the good sense to use an earpiece.
NOTES ON HER HAND???? It's a level of absurdity I never thought I'd live to see.

Jail? Oh, brother!
Did you hear Palin's response to being questioned on how Obama could "tougher"?
Start war with Iran! She actually said this.
And people wonder why the American people are turning away from the voting booths in droves.

Goth,
Obama's goals to date have been bold, controversial, and ambitious. I still think that they were ill-timed in light of our economic dire straits. Not even he's willing to do what is necessary to help put back together our broken Republic. You know, Goth; lil' things like getting this great nation out of the mercenary business, releasing classified documents which would indict war criminals from the previous administration, stepping away from the GOP-practice of protecting unscrupulous hedge fund managers, corporate pirates, and double-dipping moneylenders demanding a pound of America's flesh.
That aside, there is no one with a modicum of intelligence who would dispute that Sarah Palin is simply too dumb to lead this nation in these perilous times. The woman is intellectually vacuous and a terribly divisive force. She hit the lottery big time when she was elected governor of a state in this great nation.

And he's had a year of a Democrat Congress and unquestioning love from the media. So why hasn't he done anything?

Posted: 2/8/10 at 12:49pmPalin is not dumb. She is just very ignorant and is proud of her ignorance. And her supporters revel in it. I suspect they still carry unresolved issues from their school days when smart kids got all the rewards. And, look, here is a C- student who pulled one over on all the straight-A students ! Golly gee !

the gop-practice of protecting unscrupulous hedge fund managers, corporate pirates, and double-dipping moneylenders demanding a pound of america's flesh.
the gop practice?? the go-f***ing-p practice? when you've got timmy "goldman sachs" geithner and a passel of former wall street lobbyists running this administration's fiscal policy you're gonna talk sh*t about he gop? really?
when you've got chris dodd & co. signing off on aig's bonuses and then blatantly lying about it when it comes out you're still talking sh*t about the gop?
when the administration is cutting closed door deals with big pharma, every union on earth and the insurance industry at every level and outright buying senators you're gonna talk sh*t about the gop?
oh, i see y'all "qualified" it with y'big talk about barry o not stepping away from these horrible "gop" practices. well, know what? they're not gop practices anymore they're the democrats' business as usual.
