Sad news, HaloHorns, CBS has made the surprising decision to yank the much-loved freshman sitcom "Angel from Heck" after just a few weeks. It's anybody's guess how networks make decisions when they're pulling a show that Variety said, "Aims for whimsy but misses the mark" and was "not divinely inspired."
Here's hoping Jane Lynch and her billowing Bea Arthur vests move onto bigger and better laughs. Farewell, Amy, our all-time angel from H-E-double hockey sticks!

I guess you guys are more broken up by the cancellation of "Angel from Hell" than I am. At least now we know why they dropped Jane Lynch as the host of The Tony's'es'es'.
Namo won't be able to read this, but I must admit I sat watching ANGEL on Thursday thinking, "As charming as I find Jane Lynch and the rest of the cast, I haven't laughed once during this or any other episode."
I find Jane Lynch hilarious but Jesus was this show a stinker. And without them establishing exactly what Lynch's character was, it was weird and kinda creepy. The lead actress was the most boring person they could have picked.
I always watch and enjoy her on HOLLYWOOD GAME NIGHT. Tonight she had Geena Davis on (and my God, that woman looks exactly like she did 25 years ago) but she did a whole segment about her "box" that had me laughing pretty damn hard.

This angle won't be grounded for long!

I was hoping CBS would sell and Angel from Hell creme de menthe flask for us HaloHornys. Do you think we should start a petition for quality angel-based programming.

Maybe Netflix will pick it up?

"Fuller Angle from Hell"!
They can do an X-FILES crossover where Scully can further question her faith.

Touched by an Angle.
I wonder if it was canceled because of FOX News's new sitcom, "Angela Merkel From Hell" is premiering soon.

But in all seriousness, at least Lynch is now free to do GYPSY with Lea Michele.

Nobody misspell the M word!
Hadn't this been advertised for the fall season then they suddenly pulled it before it aired for mid season? I think that speaks volumes.

When Jane refused to host the Tonys, CBS decided to flex their muscle and show her who is boss.
I think it was a matter of good actor, good premise, bad actor/premise pairing. Lynch is enjoyably chilly and caustic- she's the friend you like but don't trust. The episodes I saw felt like they had been written for late-era Robin Williams then slightly revised to make the angel female. Especially the pilot, where Lynch was called upon to essentially channel Williams in a big way, but that's never been her style or her schtick.

Hmmm. I never thought of that. I never saw any behind the scenes info.
Maybe it's time for Jane to star in "Mint & Marky", about a nutty lady from space who wears big, flowy sweater vests down to her calves and moves in with actor Mark Harmon and his wife Pam Dawber.

I would watch the hell out of that, at least both episodes that would make it to air!
Mark Harmon + 1987 + Summer School + Male Stripper + Me at 9 years old = Realizing I was totally gay.
