I was going to comment on the original topic, but imagine my surprise to see that I already had! I was going to say that the next person who shoves a Dianetics flyer at me in Times Square will be scraping it off their colon.

Please show me one who is smart. Really. It seems to appeal to not particlarly bright actors who barely make it through high school.

so she is @ least that smart.

I think that this thread has sort of moved past Scientology to this photo.

However, I expect a whole lot of free Hairspray press in the upcoming days.

He should play Wilbur and they should give the role of Edna to Bruce Vilanch or Harvey.
I mean, Travolta could save himself in his religion and Hairspray fans could see the very funny Harvey or Vilanch.
Don't fix something when it is not broken.
I love Harvey and or Vilanch as Edna.
Travolta could play Wilbur.
(Raises hand) Welcome Back...... (Harvey darling)
(OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Mr Kotter- (or Shaiman)
Please put Harvey where he belongs!!!!
The sound of Welcome Back Kotter in the distance.
I hope Harvey will be in the film.
PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thirty years ago it was just a given that there was this kid in the cast of Over Here and....
And Travolta WAS a sex symbol at one point many many moons ago. However he seems to have fallen in love with Alfredo sauce in the meantime.
Right now he is chubby and that is kind.

Im afraid that in my generation affection just cant be shown to another man.
If they were european, this would not be a story.

This entire thread has made me think of the South Park episode where he and Tom Cruise end up in the closet.

I can't see Travolta as Wilbur either. But it makes more sense for him to be Wilbur than Edna.
I just want to see Bruce Vilanch on the big screen.
Is that so wrong. I love Bruce!
This film makes me upset. I wanted to see Matt Morrison as Link.
Kerry Butler as Penny. Kathy Brier as Tracy. I loved the original cast and wish they used most of them.
Chester Gregory should have been cast as Seaweed.
I am just dissappointed.
But that is what life is all about.
