Has anyone else noticed that Seussical has been popping up everywhere lately? I can think of 3 community theatres that just did it, our town's childrens theatre, and our school next year! Even the chicago shakespere theatre is currently doing it!
Just wondering if there's been a seussical craze where you all live
I have NEVER met Cheyenne Jackson. I have never hung out with him in his dressing room, he did not tweet me, he never bought me a beverage, and he mostly certainly didn't tickle me. . .that is all.
I just directed it at the community theatre here in town. It's a good choice, because the music is fun but not tough, and the casting is extremely easy. you can almost cast anyone as anything and make the show work somehow. my wickersham brothers were three junior high boys, and it worked! it was great. I also had a mayor and Mrs. Mayor who were in their seventies, and it was great fun.
funny that you mention that my high school did it last year and we did sola solew for my solo voce
You Know you're a B'way geek when...
Ok Ok I made this one up...
"When someone asks what you want(for Christmas, B-day, Gala Event...) and you reply..." I wanna be a Producer!"

our school did it about a year and a half ago. and ive heard about it all over the place. but the big production in our city has been charlie and the chocolate factory. i think about 4 schools did it this year and 2 the year before that. our school never did it tho.
I just finished doing it in Chicago with a rather unknown theater group. It was by far the most fun I have ever had on stage. The characters are so whimsical and so much fun to potray. Our costumes were so detailed and the whole show was a blast!
Now that you mention it, my sister and brother were in different productions of it within a couple of months of each other, and we don't have that much theatre available around us.
J'ai compris tous les mots, j'ai bien compris, merci.............
The community theatre where my school is is doing it this fall, but they're holding auditions before all the students come back to school. Boo - now I can't audition.
my high school did Seussical two years ago. I was the sour kangaroo. I've done a lot of theatre and i have to say that Seussical was one of my favorite shows i've ever been in. it's just fun, everyone on stage always has a good time, and that makes the audience love it.
