Size 10 FULL FIGURED??!!

i just watched inside edition and they are saying that they hired a size 10 model and this is the second time they have hired a full figured model!! size 10 is full figured??!!!! i am signing up for weight watchers tomorrow!!!! OY YOY!

Lord. Size 10 is considered full figured, but like 50% of American women are over size 16. What does that make all of them? Overflowing figured?

Screw the gym. I'm building a time machine and moving to the 50s, when Marilyn Monroe was size 12 and considered the epitome of beauty.

It's only 'full-figured' on Madison Avenue - not in their homes, mind you, but in their fantasies and in their business projections.

And the sad fact is, it's what's being accepted as the 'norm' by many of our illustrious population.

I don't know Kel. We may have to get a super-sized time machine kit to fit us both, seeing as they're made to fit only "normal" sized people.

When I modeled, size 12 was considered plus size. If you were an 8 or a 10, you were in between and didn't get jobs. Luckily, I never fell below the plus size cut off.

i'll have a big mac, small fries and i diet coke..
i feel soo fat!
its very sad indeed that 10 is considered full figured. its sad for the young girls who look up to these "models" as to what is considered acceptable and beautiful. i used to be a size 2..now i am 10..i am a lot more healthy now but i wouldn;t mind being a size 6!

I tell women this all the time. I do not want a stick for a wife and most guys I know do not either. As long as you eat healthy and exercise, you should not worry about your weight! Everyone has different body types, embrace yours and use it! Those stick models got nothing on you! You are still beautiful to me. *end rant*

Why can't I meet a guy like you!
Just a few weeks ago, I met a guy who told me I was "beautiful"
but he only dates WAIFS. "WAIFS" were his exact words.
I am very pretty, but the men I seem to be attracted to like size zero.
I started working with a trainer and nutritionist to lose the weight, but i will never be a WAIF.
Good to hear there are men that like a soft woman.
When I lose the weight, I will tell him I only like men with big brains.

Corine, there are more men like that out there than you know. I would never have believed it, but I am married to one of them and most of his friends feel the same way too. We will be out with them and a waif will walk by and they will start talking about how the only reason they would ask her out was to make sure that she acctually ate once a week. I was blown away that those kind of men existed and I am a very lucky woman to have found one of them.

size 10 is absolutely full figured. But there is nothing wrong with that though. It's simply a term..."full figured". I don't see that as a negative connotation, at all.

Everyone's body is different, so don't worry about it.

Just treat your body respectfully, eat right and excercise every day. I don't really understand why people even have weight problems. Don't eat a whole box of ding dongs in a sitting and make sure to get outside and move around.

I have never been one to use food for comfort, though, and have no concept of why people do that in the first place.

If you crave something sweet, put down the Ho Ho's and eat an apple. It's just common sense.

Kate Moss. A size zero.
I don't think a size 10 is full figured. Size 14 and up is full figured.
But most men want a 0 and I am a 12.

a true american size 10 is pretty curvy. a 10 in my mother's time was smaller (the 50's) sizing has changed so much over the years and european sizes run smaller than american sizes. while it is true that marilyn monroe was fleshy, even at her most zaftig she was no bigger than a size 8. i love an athletic physique. these frail toothpick girls are not so attractive to me. give me gabrielle reece anyday.

I like Kathy Griffin's take on this subject...that models (and celebrities like Nicole Kidman) are the coat hangers with heads. And clothes look good on them because clothes look good on hangers. They're just hangers with heads.

So, go on and never eat again so you, too, can live the life of a coat hanger...and be a genetic freak.
