My notes from tonight (some random thoughts thrown in for good measure):
Natalie and Ivan ... color me surprised at how good the jive was ... the triple steps were off, yes, but I am surprised at the judges' comments ... Natalie's solo ... same moves different music ... I would like to see them dance solo in a style other than their own ... Ivan is good at what he does, but I would love to see, with as much as he has improved through the show, to see him dance a solo out of his style ... hmmm, the contemporary left me cold ... choreography? chemistry? I am not sure ... I agree, to some degree, with Mia's comments about Natalie, but I am surprised that she thinks Travis has the "charisma" dancers wish they had ...
Donyelle and Benji ... (I was hoping for a Heidi/Benji pairing again) ... while better than previous outings, Tyce's choreography is still weak ... Benji was, pardon the expression, rather nelly in this routine; his costume, which emphasized how slight he is, didn't help ... that second routine was hip HOT! ... In Benji's solo, he again came across rather nelly ... I had not really seen that as much before ... go Donyelle for dancing solo out of the box ...
Travis ... again, the solo, though wonderful technically, didn't move me ... Heidi and Travis ... Heidi was lovely in the smooth waltz, beautiful lines ... Heidi has legs for days! As nice as she seems to be, she can be very sexy when she dances ... so, why was that "pop" and not contemporary?!? Have you noticed that every choreographer who created a "pop" routine described the style differently? I agree with Nigel that it was the best routine of the night, but I am not sure America will agree. They may have found it too odd.
I think Natalie and Ivan will be the two to go, though you never know how America will vote.

For to be hopeless would seem so strange.
It dishonors those who go before us,
So lift me up to the light of change."
