re: So You Think You Can Dance

I'm an old man, and I've heard that song and seen that video, more times than I can count. Mister Matt, I'm confused by your post. Are you saying that you went out and bought the album, after hearing the song on the show?

re: So You Think You Can Dance

Am I the first to post tonight?!? I was all set to apologize for missing the discussion because I have church on Wednesday nights and have to watch when I get home ... anyway ...

First, may I ask how do you spell Jaymz/Jamyz?!? On the website it is Jaymz and on-screen I have seen it both ways!

Now for my thoughts for tonight ... Natalie and Musa were probably my favorite couple tonight, though that may have to do as much with the choreography as the performance. I also liked Jamyz/Jaymz and Jessica. No one really thrilled me, and I would be hard pressed to pick a bottom couple. I do give props to Ben and Ashlee, who I thought did a great job out of their comfort zone.

Random musings: Dmitry is still hot; Allison is still one of my favorites; Travis is still annoying ("Oh yes, krump!" Like he even knew what it was!); Benji has a surprisingly nice butt; and I am not really sure there is a front runner right now.

The black judge was off. I didn't agree with most of his comments. He was really off.

re: So You Think You Can Dance

I thought Ashlee and Ben did surprisingly well.

Benji and Dmitry are my favorites right now - but I missed a good portion of it last night.

Poor Aleksandra totally our of her zone with old school east coast hip hop! She did dance a bit like a white girl, but she's adorable. I give her credit for doing it as well as she did!

re: So You Think You Can Dance

The judges were pissing me off last night. I loved when Nigal said how he would never say he just didn't "like" the performance like the other male judge did.

I really love Benji and Dmitry, they were great last night.

re: So You Think You Can Dance

Benji really surprised me last week. I am anxious to see how he will do with a contemporary routine.

re: So You Think You Can Dance

Once again, nobody comes close to Benji and Donyella, imo.

And once again, I agree.

re: So You Think You Can Dance

Ashlee and Ben were the worst last nite, tho I do give her credit, two bad weeks in a row should get them kicked out...and I am not feeling him. I see a bad with the judges and their criticisms.

Donyelle was the only star last nite.

re: So You Think You Can Dance

I think the judges are a bit too kind about the choreography. Most of it was very mediocre, last night, and they put undue blame on the dancers.

re: So You Think You Can Dance

I agree JohnB. Many of those dancers are good enough to wow us every week, but no one did last night.

re: So You Think You Can Dance

Ditto that. Some of the choregrpahy is just not good. No fair to blame it on the dancers!

I did like the Cha cha number. Go Benji and Donyelle!

re: So You Think You Can Dance

I liked the contemporary choreog, but the team of girls made both teams they choreographed look bad.

BTW, glad to see that Rhianna is on the show tonite, and suprised they could get her.

re: So You Think You Can Dance

First of all, what was up with the somber mood tonight?!? I realize people were being kicked off the show, but Cat looked like she was pissed off about something.

With that said, I think they made the right choices.

Spill, please, for those of us who were actually in - dance class - and missed it.

I'm not kidding - I really was.

Joy and Jason were let go, leaving my new boyfriend Dmitry and Alexsandra as partners.

Barely picturing Joy, no idea who Jason is.

re: So You Think You Can Dance

Am I the only one who was really frustrated with Alexsandra? I agreed with Joy going home and all, but Alexsandra pretty much gave up. She didn't put her heart into the performance and half-assed it just because it was her second time in the bottom. If she really wanted it, she should've fought with all her heart. And it wasn't just her dancing; it was the interview with Cat and her attitude even after she was safe.

(Sorry about the link in my previous post. It has been corrected. I went to bed without double checking it!)

Yes, dancn, I agree. She was one of my favorites last week, but I was surprised by her lack of enthusiasm last night. She did not look pleased that her partner was booted. Hopefully, her modd will improve when she starts working with Dmitry. I know mine would!

re: So You Think You Can Dance

I watched the show last night. Was it me or was Rhianna definitely lip-syncing? I could tell when the first word came out of her mouth! And there were no background singers. It's a LIVE show!

re: So You Think You Can Dance

I thought Dmitri should have gone...for the pants alone! He is hot alright, but I think he should get some buttons for his shirts as he seems to be missing many.

Alexsandra and her partner were the best for me last week. I loved the choreography (which has rarely happened this season) and think they were just amazing. I am not sure why they would kick him off after a great first week and a decent second week. I just dont get it.

I am worried that Alexsandra isnt going to be able to handle this competition emotionally. I think she looked nuts from the time she was announced as in the bottom three couples...and her solo sucked. She is a great dancer, tho, so I am not getting it...perhaps there is something else going on for her.
