re: So You Think You Can Dance

Last season they would draw names, so they usually had a different partner each week.

I, too, love Benji.
And I, too, hate Mary's scream.

Edited: They just said you keep the same partner till he/she is eliminated. That doesn't seem terribly fair.

Well, I thought Joy was great. Clearly I'm a moron.

The cameramen are trying their hardest to make me dizzy.

Must they circle around everyone?

re: So You Think You Can Dance

Definitely agree with the judges on Ashlee and Ben.

And if I stop watching this show, it will be because of the obnoxious audience. God, STOP BOOING!!!!!

re: So You Think You Can Dance

This "Broadway" routine is just sad. The costumes and choreography are from some out-of-touch teen dance recital in East Podunk.

Why was that so spectacular??? Did I miss something?

re: So You Think You Can Dance

I missed the same thing, Tag. That was - puzzling.

re: So You Think You Can Dance

Are these two partners or are they fighting each other? And he has NOTHING to do - reminds me of the bad celebs on that other dancing show.

Travis Wall, the boy from the broadway dance, was recently-ish in the dance ensemble in The Pippin benefit concert in November 2004. He was also in The Music Man.

Watching it now. Why can't they keep the f'ing camera still?

re: So You Think You Can Dance

I love Travis, but after hearing him say "I think we'll do better than most couples" makes me think his ego is a bit high. Granted, they did do better than most, but geez, don't admit you're that good so early in the competition!

re: So You Think You Can Dance

Nobody even touched the first couple, tonight.

re: So You Think You Can Dance

i loved benji and darnell, everything after that seemed like a let down. they should have ended the show, you know with a BANG!

and this season seems to have a different format, not everyone is in groups taking classes. i liked that because they showed more of the actual dancers personalities and stuff, like when they found Blaine in the magazine.

re: So You Think You Can Dance

My top two couples tonight are Benji and Donyelle and Alexsandra and (I think) Jason. That choreography was my favorite. Alexsandra just became my favorite when I looked at her bio and learned that she graduated from my alma mater!

I think Travis is an incredible dancer, but that attitude will wear thin with me soon.

I also thought the first disco number was weak.

Finally, Dmitry is hot.

from justjared.com:

rn and raised in Virginia Beach, VA, Travis Wall started dancing at the age of three at his mother's studio, Denise Wall's Dance Energy. The winner of numerous awards and titles, Travis was featured in a national Dr. Pepper commercial. In the revival of The Music Man on Broadway, Travis played Eddie Mason and understudied Winthrop. When he outgrew those roles he was invited back to play Barney Hix. He has appeared on The Rosie O'Donnell Show, The Tony Awards, The Today Show, MTV, and Access Hollywood. He is choreographing and teaching across the country, performing with Adrienne Canterna's company, American Dance Artists, and touring with New York City Dance Alliance as a former two time title winner and main assistant.

re: So You Think You Can Dance

I agree with you, JB2.

And Travis is a fabulous dancer, he just didn't get to show it off tonight in that horrible routine. His partner is really good too.

Yes. Steam Heat did nothing for me. Not sure why the judges were so impressed by it.
