My thread about Mr Richard Ridge has mysteriously disappeared after 1 day.

I commented on his interviewing style and [lack of] dress sense and complimented him on his theatre knowledge.

So who complained?-- Mr Ridge, a fellow member? Perhaps the Mods. decided that one can't be critical of their own.

Still 100 people read my thoughts and that's 100 times better than talking to myself.

Go in peace Mr Ridge and please try and stay still when interviewing.

I didnt even think it lasted that long! I thought the same thing though. I guess criticizing one's fashion sense is a no-no.

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

You never know when your words will disappear, or why. Not directly because of Patti, she doesn't have that much power - but why bother posting at all when there's every chance your thoughts will disappear into oblivion for no apparent reason?

*They're obviously not here to speak for themselves, and they'll have to come back to tell me if I've misrepresented them! :)

^ When I posted that, today's Patti Murin thread was still on the main board, but now it's gone.

There was nothing that over-stepped the mark on that thread, but poof, it's vanished. I was just about to post about what a lovely person I think she is, too.

I've only had one post yanked by the mods. It was a copyrighted hex that I shamelessly lifted from another web site. Come to think of it, it was directed at a certain z-list actress who shall go unnamed.

You never know when your words will disappear, or why.

Actually, that's happened countless times since the inception of the site LOOOOOONG before Patti Murin. Anyone who has been here since the beginning knows this topic is nothing unusual in the least. People can be mad at Murin for what she initially said about BWW (an overreaction that caused more overreaction), but she really has nothing to do with the regulation of these boards. The scapegoating is pretty silly.
