Some good news about Sam#1

My little grandniece Samantha was born on 4/13. All was fine until this week when she got sick with a high fever. The fever keeps going up (105) and nothing is helping. She's in the hospital - in isolation - with her Mom and Dad sleeping on the floor in her room. The doctor's are sure she has a bad kidney infection but they think it's viral because she isn't responding to any antibiotics.

Her body is just too little for something this bad. This is Sam and her mom when she was just 1 day old:



I'm sorry if this is rambling but I'm crying too hard to make sense.

Don't tell me you don't believe in prayer. Just do it anyway for me - ok? Sam needs a lot of help - now.

Mamie, I will be praying for Sam. She is so beautiful and I know how much joy she has brought to you and your family. I will also be praying for her medical team so that they can do what they need to do to find the best treatment plan for her. If you need to talk or anything give me a call.

Mamie, All of us in my home--including the kids--are praying for you, Sam and your entire family.

Have faith. When my newborn was struggling for her life, friends and family who didn't even believe in god prayed for her. And you know what a wonderful little girl she is today.
