In my Musical Theatre Class we are doing group scene work and my group has 2 guys and 1 girl (Were the only group if 3).
What are some good songs out there for 2 guys and 1 girl?
There's a comic trio in STRIKE UP THE BAND, a Gershwin show. I dont remember the name of the number off hand, but it has lots of room for characterization. If you're interested, I'll look it up.
well The Girl Gets Around frm Footloose, is 3 guys and and girl but u can easily do it with only 2 guys...and its a really really good song
There are a few songs from Tick...Tick...BOOM! are 3 parts with 2 guys and a girl.

If your girl is a soprano, there's a song that was cut from The Sound of Music movie called "No Way To Stop It" sung by the Captain, Max, and Elsa. I sang it once with two male friends (I sang Elsa)and got to show off my amazing high B flat.

Ooh!
If you can find sheet music for it, I also love "The Game" from Bounce.
"Louder Than Words" - tick, tick... BOOM!
It's called "How About a Man". The Amazon listing for the studio recording of STRIKE UP THE BAND has a clip.
I second Louder than Words!
Speaking of Steam Heat, we learned choreography to that song in musical theatre today wooooooo!!

I third "Louder Than Words".
(Man, I can't WAIT to see Tick...Tick...BOOM! in November!)
I'm suprised no one has said "I wish I could go Back to College." Avenue Q. Might not be appropriate, however.

A maltby and shire song from closer than ever calls "He loves me not," or something along those lines.
Very funny.
"Friendship" from Anything Goes (Cole Porter) is really funny - 2 guys and a girl.

I thought "Friendship" was only between 1 guy and 1 girl.

"Good Morning" from Singin' In The Rain.
That's the one that the girl in the group suggested.
• Friendship - Anything Goes
• I Wish I Could Go Back to College - Avenue Q
• Finale - Dirty Rotten Scoundrels
• Pretty Little Picture - A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum
• Normandy - Once Upon a Mattress
I think that "Friendship" and "Normandy" would both be GREAT options.
Old Friends from Merrily We Roll Along is perrrrfect.
Sorry I don't know names, but Friendship is between Reno, the gangster, and the lead guy .. I'm awful at remembering characters :x
But I think that'd be a really CUTE choice.
