Two of my favorite all time movies are on back to back tonight. Steel Magnolias followed by The Big Chill. Fantastic!

I've seen this film several times and the ship scene is more painful every time.

FYI - don't use links from IMPawards.com. You have to add them to your photobucket.

Oh, Glebby, were you doing your De Niro impression just then? Such a photo op!
I've never seen Quo Vadis. It seems so generically sword-and-sandalish.
But Deborah Kerr makes me curious enough. I love her in everything and anything.

We finally watched GASLIGHT last night.
It was amazing! One of the best movies I've ever seen. There were a few moments when I thought I'd have to pause it and calm down because it was that intense.
I'm fascinated by people like Angela Lansbury. I said this in another thread, but I think it's worth repeating. To be 19 and working on your first film with Ingrid Bergman. Then you're nominated!
I wonder if she ever thought her career would be as great and diverse as it is.
I still haven't finished Dorian Gray. It's not one of my favorite novels. I remember it taking me a few tries to get into it when I read it in high school.

We watched THE APARTMENT and THE AFRICAN QUEEN last night. I've seen THE AFRICAN QUEEN before, but Ivan hadn't. He liked it.
We both liked THE APARTMENT.
I think the only thing left on our line up is THE GREAT ESCAPE, although it should be recording a few musicals today. ANNIE and THE UNSINKABLE MOLLY BROWN. I think. I'll have to look to be sure.

Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy!
I'm finally going to see why Sueleen loves Betty Hutton.
I might have to skip the debate for this. Wish I could watch both.
Miracle of Morgan's Creek, The (1944)
During World War II, a 4F tries to help the woman he loves cover up a surprise pregnancy.
Cast: Eddie Bracken, Betty Hutton, William Demarest. Dir: Preston Sturges. BW-98 mins, TV-PG

Thank you so much, Glebby. I would have missed it if you hadn't posted this.
I love Woody Allen's New York stories and one of my favorites - Radio Days - is on now. I absolutely love the individual characters who inhabit his little corner of the great big city!

Everyone is so great in this but I always feel like it's Julie Kaver and her wonderful performance that holds it all together. Just marvelous.
