It must be "Big '60s Musicals Day" on TCM. Love it!

Is that the re-master of Camelot? Don't remember it looking so sumptuous. May need to pick this up on Blu-Ray.

I'm bad at thinking about telling people when stuff is on. Right now Carousel is on. It just started.

Love seeing Glebby's TCM thread every time it's bumped!

I must say, I really have enjoyed this month's "Summer Under the Stars" series, where they have a full 24 hours of programming dedicated to one star (not just their usual three-film block in the evenings). A full day of one classic star's films.

I also think this website is pretty fantastic in its design and functionality.

Really great stuff!

I'll have to check it out! I was curious about that. At least the sides won't look all stretched now. But I bet it's weird.

I'm in LOVE!

TCM has a new app for phones and pads ... free, but you must have a subscription to TCM via cable, dish, etc., because you log in using your cable or dish ID and password.

Fantastic! You can watch TCM live from anywhere, plus 300 on-demand movies, schedules, etc.

This is so great!

I imagine it is the various cable systems that are preventing Turner from taking the obvious step of selling direct subscription to their archive. And right they are to disallow it--if I could subscribe directly to TCM, there wouldn't be much keeping me at TWC.

You think, what do you want? You think, make a decision...

I know what you mean, Addison.

I wish all TV could be like this, and we would just pick and chose what we subscribed to.

I imagine the information is out there if I look hard enough--I'd love to see how much I am paying per month for each and every channel in the lineup. I imagine there are a handful of very expensive networks and a slew of channels that are free or nearly so.

I would love to opt out of the 1,000's of sports channels for a start.

Bumping this up because TCM is showing the movie Remember The Night tonight at 9:45. I've never seen it, so I'm looking forward to it. But, I recall a poster named BigFatBlonde talked about it. I believe she passed away a few years ago. At least I think someone had posted here about her.

Oh, I'm so sorry to hear BFB passed away (assuming it's true). I really enjoyed her posts and our back-and-forth. Makes me sad.

I will tune in, in her honor. And also for Glebby, who started this thread. I miss him, too.

Thanks for letting us know, Marianne2!
