Dooder, must you hate EVERYTHING, my love?
apparently none of you have ever watched "out of this world."
There was a cheesy Canadian Game Show called Definition. It's theme song was "Soul Bossa Nova" by Quincy Jones. For that matter all Canadian Game shows were pretty cheesy.
I still remember the elementary school taunt. Your mother dances on definition. Imagine a (some unknown) woman dancing behind a back lit screen doing there best hep dance moves.
Soul Bossa Nova - think Austin POwers
imdb trivia for "out of this world" : Burt Reynolds asked that his name be left off the show's credits, since he was doing it as a favor to the producers. At the time, he was busy with another hit series, "Evening Shade" (1990).
yeah, you know it's bad when even burt reynolds wants to hide his association with the show. as for the part about being "busy with 'another' hit series..."
umm, OOTW began in 1987, "evening shade" began in 1990. and doesn't "another hit series" imply that OOTW was a hit?
Would you like to swing on a star...
Trivia: Joe Alaskey, aka Uncle Beano, also was the voice of Plucky Duck on Tiny Toons.
And the surfer boyfriend in that show was hot, too.
eta: Holy crap. That was Steve Burton? Who knew?
