Apparently everyone has it now, and hates it for some reason. While I did like the old way better, I don't dislike the new way and don't even see how it's so different.
Why does everyone hate it?
I hate it because it's cluttered, impossible to navigate, combines the wall and the news feed, and doesn't give me drop-down menus for my friends. Also, my profile is all stupid tabs.
When the mini-feed and statuses were first introduced, everyone hated them. Now they don't.
In a few months, everyone will forget there was ever an "old" Facebook. People are jut adverse to change in some things, and I guess Facebook is one of them.
I think it'll take some getting used to, but I don't hate it at all.
I am having a hard time with it.

I don't hate it.
But, I refuse to participate in Facebook - or any of these communities - so that probably has a lot to do with it.
I'd assume it's as Priest pointed out - human tendency to abhor change.
Technology can't erase that.
Yet.

I'm trying to give it a chance--switched over yesterday, actually, just to see what it was like.. and it's ok. When you post a YouTube link on a page, it no longer embeds it, sadly. I wish it still did. I actually reported a "bug" for that reason. It'll take some getting used to and I think it'll be fine. I just don't understand the reason that they HAD to change it. They never did that on MySpace. On MySpace they give you the option to use classic or new.
absolutly hate it. I can't stand having to click through tabs to see someone's profile

I'm siding with Chris, it is a lot more difficult to navigate.
And I for one still don't like the newsfeed. It rarely provides good news...usually it's me discovering that another ex is in a relationship and happy and I'm sitting here single.
Once you get used to it, it's fine. I wasn't a fan at first, but now that I've been using it for awhile, I prefer it to the old way. Easier to navigate.
Change is always hard. I know this is a difficult transition for some of you, but as Nietzsche said "that which does not kill us makes us stronger".
We will get through this and be better people for it.
I'm still using the old one and dreading the new because I tried the new one and it didn't work. Meaning when I clicked on my status to try to type in a new one, nothing happened. I hate that!
I just don't like change haha but I'll get used to it eventually.
I never got the hang of the old facebook, so the new one isn't that different for me. I hardly noticed a change at all.
So far, I still have the old facebook, and I'm keeping that way until it finally switches over. I tried the new one, and I did not like it. I especially hate how your wall is the same as your news feed. So, if people don't write on your wall that often, like mine, you forget it exists. And I don't want to forget that. The news feed is pretty useless. I really could care less about what people write on each other's walls or just other very little things like that.

I hate it! Mine got switched over today. I also hate the news feed and wall combined, and the fact that you can't see someone's info on the same page. So stupid. What I don't understand is if everyone hates it so much, why did they change it? There's no benefit.
The new design is just too busy for me. It's difficult to navigate and I hate how they combined the wall and the mini feed.
New Facebook is just ugly and cumbersome.
Question: is there a way to make the default size on things on my profile the "one line" option, instead of the "short" option, does anyone know? It's not one of the choices when i click on edit.
On MySpace they give you the option to use classic or new.
Yeah, that's what pissed me off about it.
I agree that it's way too busy and ugly. And it's not just a change thing; I loved new MySpace.
and WHERE THE HELL DID EVERYONE'S FLAIR GO?
How does it confuse you?
