Now I know why I haven't watched these in years. Good for Lady Gaga, but the rest was not that enjoyable. And even before the Taylor Swift thing from last year, I didn't like Kanye West.

Usher had the best performance of the night for me. I'm extremely letdown by the "Kanye West Grand Finale"

There was more emotion, passion and talent in those few bars Lady Gaga sung than the majority of the over-produced performances tonight.

So Gaga won 8 awards out of a possible 11? Apparently that's the most awards in a single night for any female artist?

Either way, I'm so happy for her. I know a lot of people will have their noses out of joint (just look at Katy Perry and Ke$ha's reactions) but she clearly did deserve those awards. Nobody was bigger than her in pop this year and nobody put as much effort into their video's.

Can't believe freaking Cher in full Turn Back Time gettup was on the same stage as Gaga. The gays must have buckled under the shock.

Chelsea was a bit crap. She's always been a poor mans Kathy Griffin to me.

I admit I never know anything about 'popular' music - I wouldn't know any of this music if it were playing right now. I only know of these people as I stumble across them in mainstream media coverage. Generally, though, I can at least get somewhat of an idea of what the concoction is supposed to be.

Not in this case - at all.

30 Seconds to Mars won Best Rock Video. Not since KISS have drag queens been able to reference their act as “rock”.
