re: The 57th Annual Prime Time Emmy Awards

what was paul newman in?
<--- the set of A Midsummer Night's Dream that I was assistant stage manager for during the 2007 season at the STNJ outdoor stage.

-Dre-
You must remember all the same that at the crux of every game is knowing when it's time to leave the table... And it's important to be artful in your exit. No turning back, you must accept the con is done... It was a ball, it was a blast. And it's a shame it couldn't last. But every chapter has to end, you must agree.

There's a special kind of people known as show people. We live in a world full of dreams. Sometimes we're not too certain what's false and what's real. But we're seldom in doubt about what we feel.
~Curtains~

It is a far, far better thing I do, than I have ever done; it is a far, far better rest I go to, than I have ever known.

I am suprised no one is talking about Kristen Bell singing FAME yet. She has such a pretty voice except that dud almost dropped her.

Actually she had no idea how to hold herself in the lift and he took very good care of her.

PS - Betty: Did you know you smell like freshly laundered linen handkerchiefs?

Oh... well good thing he kept her from crashing into the stage. Great job dude.
And thank you for the linen comment....not quite sure what it means but I will take what I can get

That toss lift should not have been put in while she was singing live. It's a jarring lift. She freaked out at the top and he caught her and landed her beautifully.

The comment is from Sunset Blvd. I thought you would know it as Joe Gillis says it to Betty Schaefer.

Sadly, I never saw Sunset Boulevard...just loved listening to it when I was younger. Now it makes sense =)

Tell me what you think Glebb, someone on the other board said Kristen was lip synching. At first I thought she was but then she had some fluctuations that sounded live so...

No Tivo or cable here.
Well I guess she's not primarily a dancer.

I could've sworn I saw her mouth close while she was apparently still singing.

Oh God. I'm gonna cry during this Johnny Carson tribute, I know it.

Her mouth was off right as the guy was spinning her away from the camera, the were no popped plosives, which there would be with if her microphone were live.

guess she was lip synching...oh well...although it is strange if it supposed to be "EMMY IDOL" and Trump and Megan Mullally performed live...oh well

I could care less whether she was singing live or not.
I don't even know who she is. I just noticed her freak out at the top of the lift.

BS - Rent the DVD of the film Sunset Blvd. It's one hundred times better than the musical.

Cool Betty!

Uh oh, I find that I am now watching ROME.
Let me know if something good happens at the awards.

Doris Roberts again!?!?!? I guess this is her Raymond Goodgye Present.

BTW, Was Peter Boyle Nominated this year? I Wish he would have won over Brad Garrett just once.
