Posted: 8/20/09 at 7:41pmIt is on in a half hour was what I meant... there is way too much going on tonight for it to be only 30 minutes!

Posted: 8/20/09 at 9:42pmHOH Competition is over and CBS did not show the competition on the feeds at all... even with Julie Chen shilling them at the end of the show claiming you could "see the competition."

Veddy interesting show...I was kind of hoping that Kevin would win HOH because he finally has started playing the game. It wouldve been interesting to see him get off that fence. I am amazed that Jeff and Jordan took his word about Russell and Michelle! Now that Jeff is HOH I wont be surprised if Russell and Michelle go up on the block with a Nat as the possible backdoor.
I still dont really get how Michelle is considered so evil. She didnt do a thing maliciously, just played the game.
LOVED the Jesse bashing from those fools who were crying over his eviction just days before.

Kevin has always seemed to be the voice of reason -- he hasn't had drama since the beginging..and the that was thrust upon him. But you know they don't actually show us everything.
At this point I love that less than brilliant people are kicking butt. I adore them, but Jeff and Jordan aren't exactly brain surgeons. Time will tell. If they are the final two...Jordan will win hands down.
Will they show the jury house? I bet that Lydia sleeps with him again. She needs some psychiatric care.

Why would Jordan wins hands down? She's pretty much just ridden Jeff's coattails and the fact that she is a very weak player so far. She didn't even really win HOH last week, she had it handed to her. Only really sour grapes people would vote for her over Jeff. He made the big move, he's been winning comps, etc.
Barring some backstab, I think Jessie, Russell, Kevin would all vote for Jeff just on game play. Probabaly Michelle, Natalie too. Lydia is a wackatoo, so who knows what she would do.
No way they both make it to the final 2 anyway. In fact, I predict that Jeff gets booted, next week, of course.

Good point....I just felt that Jeff made a lot of enemies (and I could never really understand WHY, either)
Jordan might have won last week -- she made it that far on her own, Jeff just made sure that she did.

Hey guys. I just found out that due to the increased popularity of Big Brother, CBS has decided (FINALLY) to extend the season finale to TWO HOURS. Let's just say, it's about time.

Posted: 8/22/09 at 9:09pmIt only took 11 seasons for them to finally figure out that the hour show wasn't enough! I mean, Survivor gets THREE hours - I could never understand why BB didn't warrant at least two.

I dont agree that it needs a two hour finale at all! Survivor is a completely different show, and the final episode is two hours with the results and reunion the final hour. That is all the finale is with Big Brother...the results and reunion. I wont care to waltz down memory lane for that long. Sure, it's nice to get answers to dumb gameplay, etc...but this will be too much.
I was surprised how well this season has done in the ratings, hitting the top 10 last week!

Posted: 8/24/09 at 10:10amHave you ever watched a Big Brother finale? EVERYTHING is rushed and then we don't even get to hear from any of the houseguests. We don't even get a decent clip of the jury members asking the final two the last question.

Clearly I have watched the BB finale...every season actually, otherwise I wouldnt have commented.
I still see no reason for two hours. If Jeff Probst can get it done in an hour, why cant Julie Chen? He manages to give out the prizes and chat with the contestants, getting dirt and answers, in one hour.

Posted: 8/24/09 at 10:23amWell maybe they will do the final part of the HOH competition live? Who knows. I have never gotten the desired closure after a season, hell, the last two don't even walk out of the house until around 8:53.

Posted: 8/24/09 at 11:30amTwo hours can either be really bloated (maybe an hour and half?) or finally fix the pacing problems their finales have always had.
#420BIG BROTHER 11
Posted: 8/24/09 at 11:35amThe pacing problems are all to do with the "suspense" of naming the winner. If they did that right away, then they could get more dish out of the cast.

I hope the network sues Chima for breach of contract. The only reason I can assume for her antics is that she knew she was going home soon and wanted to be the Omarosa of Big Brother. Unless she really is that big of a self-centered bitch and a nasty lawsuit she cannot afford should take her down a peg or two. Glad to see Lydiot is gone, though it might have been smart to take a complete imbecile with you to the final two. Jeff has Jordan to fall back on, but the others have much more serious competition to face based on their alliances.
It really doesn't matter who Jeff puts up this week as the are all going to come after him after this eviction, anyway. His only hope is for Jordan to win the next HOH. Otherwise, he's going to be sweating out the next Veto competition. Funny thing is, everyone other than Jordan at this point is a threat. Maybe not Natalie as far as the competitions are concerned, but she's proven to be an effective manipulator. With the exception of possibly falling for Kevin and Nat's story about Russell, Jeff's been doing a good job in the game. If he's thinking about backdooring Russell, he really needs to rethink why Kevin dropped that little nugget of info out of nowhere. Why would Kevin do anything to help Jeff in the game, especially at that moment? Keep them on the block, Jeff and think it through. If you backdoor Russell, you're handing his jury vote over to Kevin or Nat.

They eliminated her from the game and from the jury house. That's about all they can do. They won't/didn't lose any money over what she did, so there really is nothing to sue over.
I don't know if it will lose Russell...he's even said that he "gets" that Jeff should get rid of him if he can. I think it depends on WHO he's up against.
I feel bad for Jeff or Michele or Jordan once they have to enter the jury house. THAT'S going to be miserable.

Posted: 8/24/09 at 12:49pmChima may owe them for the destroyed Mic. As for jeff, he needs to break ties with Jordan--I now dislike her after she has back-stabbed Michele and siding w/Kevin & Natalie....hope she goes soon. She has never really won anything, Jeff handed her the HOH-and she has floated with him all this time.

If she broke her contract by breaking the rules, they have a right to sue, regardless. Especially if the players receive a stipend for their time in the house, which I believe most of the big reality shows pay.

Eh. I think any time with Jessie will be miserable, no matter who you are, but even Jessie admitted Jeff's use of the coup was the smartest move he made in the game. Michele really doesn't let all the crap get to her and it's not like Ronnie's in the house, so I doubt she'll have too many problems. Lydiot will forgive Jessie within 24 hours anyway, believing anything he says to her and will probably make some comment about how "You just can't stay mad at Jessie!" and call him her little Gummy Bear or whatever. I just hope Natalie goes home next so they can continue the fighting and jealousy in the jury house and make Jessie absolutely stressed out and miserable. Or they'll just have a three-way, but I can't see Nat getting into that.
I don't know if it will lose Russell...he's even said that he "gets" that Jeff should get rid of him if he can. I think it depends on WHO he's up against.
Sure, but Russell can be hotheaded and vindictive, especially if he knows Jeff is acting on lies that have been fed to him rather than listening to what Russell is trying to say. Sure, from Jeff's point of view, it's difficult to decide whom to trust, but I doubt Russell will take being backdoored and having the plan changed based on lies Jeff took to heart lightly. If Jeff does try to bookdoor Russell, he NEEDS to say that the decision had nothing to do with the "house gossip" and that Russell is Jeff's biggest competition (which he may well be). Personally, keeping in mind the challenges for the Final 3, I think the best thing for Jeff right now is to get rid of Kevin or Michele and then Russell. I just don't think there is any way Nat could beat either Jeff or Jordan in the Final 3 challenges. If Jeff and Jordan could make a Final 4 deal with Russell and the three of them approach Nat, she'll probably flip without hesitation, but it would have to be contingent on Jordan, Russell or Nat winning HOH, which is about 50/50 odds against Michele and Kevin. Oh, who am I kidding?
