DD, I know what you mean. Being from GA, I was brought up on Fried food overload, but I no longer crave (or can tolerate) must of the stuff. Fried Chicken was once my favorite food, now I prefer it baked.
Just the stupid fries, that is all I still crave.

Patronus---Is that you in your av? (wait, that's a different thread) If so, you look fine to me! Don't go crazy with it.
For me, it's mostly about feeling comfortable. I hope that's the case with all of you.
I'm not losing weight to turn heads anymore. I did that before, but I was single then. It was good motivation for me, too. But now, I just want to feel "good" during the day, and comfortable in my skin and clothes. So far it's working, and I'm happily staying on track.
...but I look forward to "turning heads" again too! (I'd be lyin' if I didn't say that.) That's the added bonus this time, though.

Yes, that's me in the avatar. Thanks.
I am hoping that I can use it for motivation to lose the pounds and have a Jerby-esque before and after shot.
For me it's just that I don't feel comfortable wearing the close that I want to wear and feel a little self conscious in them. Plus it's health motivated too. My parents didn't deal me the greatest genes in the world so I need to reel it in a bit.

"That'd be key! We have a tendency to buy bad things thinking we can handle them in small qualities. No dice."
Patronius , I can't even have packages of certain GOOD things in the apartment. I find it impossible to buy a six-pack of Skinny Cow Ice Cream Sandwiches and not finish the entire pack at one sitting. So I don't have them in the house.

I'd eat the entire box too if it wouldn't kill my stomach.
Someone at work offered me one of the 1 pt WW chocolates yesterday. I turned it down. I think at this stage of the game I need to be very careful not to get the taste of candy in my mouth at all.
So far so good!

Posted: 2/3/06 at 10:09amBe careful going cold turkey, Patronus. Allow yourself that one piece and then set up a time schedule for your next one, a day or two later. Going cold turkey can set oneself up for failure. And that leads to a vicious cycle. Not to mention, the success of WW is allowing you to have food. Up to your point limit....

Posted: 2/3/06 at 10:10amI'm having what I now have for breakfast when I'm at work early - a yogurt, fruit, and granola parfait from the local deli.

In celebration of having lost 46 lbs and my 8 month WW anniversary I decided to post some Before and After pictures. The before is about 5 to 10 lbs heavier than when I actually started, but it the best Before I have.

congrats Yoda.
I forgot to chime in about my weigh in this past Thursday. When I weighed in, I found out that I lost another 3.2 pounds which brings my two week weight loss to:
8.8 pounds
That is almost 10 pounds in 2 weeks. I am so excited. LOVE weight watchers.

Good for you, Spider - but I really think what you owe it to is that you're really loving yourself

Posted: 2/5/06 at 11:02pmI ate so much today..but I'm telling myself it's okay because I was at a birthday party. I have to rationalize it. Besides, I had dance practice today, I probably burned calories from that.
