I had a fantastic weigh-in last weekend - down another 2 pounds - but I was SO bad this weekend with Food-A-Rama on Super Bowl Sunday (I kept muching on chicken wings and cookies and chips because I was bored out of my skull: "Will this be over by 9? I gotta watch Liza").
I'm back on track this week, but I have a sneaking suspicion I won't be able to avoid paying for my sins at the next weigh-in!
Yoda & jerby - Congratulations on your achievements! You have a LOT to be proud of! I know how much vigilance and work it takes!!

Has anyone tried the new Weight Watchers paninis? I've only tried the chicken so far, but YUMMY.
I also tried some of the WW/Whitman's candies this week. Like most WW prducts, expensive but very good! There are a few varieties, but the ones I tried...Pecan Crowns, Mint Patties, and Toffee Squares...are one point each. The Pecan Crowns were just OK, but the others were delicious.
I must say, they do make good food.

I discovered the 1pt Weight Watchers snack cakes that come in Chocolate, Carrot Cake and Lemon Cake. BIG fan.
Well, this morning I weighed in for my first week progress mark on the weight watchers plan.
Last Wednesday's weight: 221.5
Today's wight: 215.5
Six pounds in the first week is exciting! I know it's going to drop and be smaller losses, but I was thrilled to see that. I am over half way to my March 15th goal of 211.5.

That first week big drop is exciting. (I didn't get one, but I was happy to wave goodbye to the 180s.)
Nice work P!

Congratulations Patronus! What a wonderful first weigh in.
Penguin you're doing very, very well too. You didn't mention how your new pants are already too big.

Great recipe for graham-cracker muffins that are a lot better for you than muffins with lots of white flour and sugar. Only 1/4 cup sugar in the whole recipe, though I imagine you could use a sugar substitute. These are also rather filling.
2 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs (best if fresh-crushed,
not boxed crumbs - hey, you burn calories crushing
)
1/4 cup white sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 cup skim milk
1 egg, slightly beaten
2 Tbsp. honey
1 tsp. vanilla
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Combine crumbs, sugar, baking powder and cinnamon in large bowl. In smaller bowl, mix milk, egg, honey and vanilla. Add wet mixture to dry mixture until just moistened. Spoon batter into greased muffin cups, filling 1/2 full. Bake 12-15 minutes, until toothpick comes out clean; let stand 5 minutes, remove.
These are delicious warm
and you can also add raisins to change up the recipe a little. The flavor is in the graham flavor, the honey and the cinnamon - they are quite yummy.

Wow, Patronus! That rocks!
I am in my plateau--had heard about it and here it is. But, it's all good. Holding strong! H-h-h-holding s-strong!

Thankfully, I think I am a pretty good distance from my plateau.
Thanks, JRB. I am pretty excited!

Congratulations Patronus! That is excellent.
I've actually had a lost for three weeks in a row. It's only added up to 4 lbs, but it's the first string of losses I have had since mid December.

Thanks ym78!
My initial short term goal was to be down 10 lbs by the time we come out to NY to see you guys on St. Patty's Day.
It looks like I'll meet that goal pretty easily, so now I am shooting for 15.
#542re: The BWW Weight Watchers Club
Posted: 2/16/06 at 6:39amI go for the weigh in today, so I will post back when I get home. I kinda cheated this week so hopefully I didn't gain anything. **crosses fingers**

How is everyone doing? I lost this week--dunno if that means the plateau is over or still suspending. But, I am patient with the process.
And, my new headshots are FUN because of all this!

I weighed in Sunday at Jenny Craig... I'm up to a loss of 14 pounds now.
(No signs of me turning into Kirstie Alley yet... thank GOD.)

My weigh in is tomorrow morning. I've only dropped a lb so far and I am hoping I can stretch it to at least 1.5 or 2.0 if I can find the time to exercise.
I've found myself staying under my points, but I fell into the bad habit of loading up at the end of the day of WW snackcakes and 100 calorie packs to meet my points. Bad carbs are bad carbs even within the points.
So...starting yesterday I am limiting myself to 5 points a day of sweet junk stuff. That should get me back on track. I'll snack more on vegetables that take points such as corn and potatoes and just eat better meals throughout the day.
#546re: The BWW Weight Watchers Club
Posted: 2/21/06 at 10:18amBut remember that a pound a week is still great. It's going to slow down to that now possibly. And that is a good thing.

Starting tomorrow, I'm switching to Wednesday night WIs. I've been going Saturday mornings and hated it. Hopefully, a new meeting/leader will be inspiring to me.
I've had a rough patch lately but I'm really trying to get back on track. I worked out Sunday and Monday for the first time in months and have been eating healthy since Saturday. Hopefully, the results will show tomorrow night.

Week 3:
Starting Weight: 221.5
Last Wednesday's Weight: 212.0
Today's Weight: 210.5
A lost of 1.5 lbs for the week and a total loss so far of 11 lbs in three weeks.
I am very excited I met my March 17th goal in 3 weeks. With a little luck, I'll be down in the "two-ohs" by next week.
I still have a long way to go before the "before and after" pictures really have an impact, but I find some motivation in tracking my progress. (Hopefully, Clay and Sara will pop in here and note that I don't photograph well. We had a couple of talks about that in NY.
)
Anyway..
Here is me on Dec 24 (approx 225):
Here is me on Feb 21 (211):
A little bit of progress is showing already.
26 lbs to go to get to my ultimate goal. 11.5 to be a very happy camper.
