So I have a ? for those of you who went/are on Weight Watchers.
I joined yesterday and I'm really excited to start. I have 20 points everyday that I could eat. Now I'm having trouble figuring out how to spend my points. I always feel like I'm spending too much so when I plan out what I'm going to eat I'm left with about 4 points. I really don't want to go under the 20 by too much, not more than 1 or 2 points.
How should I distribute the points through the day? Also, I'm in high school, and it's hard to pack a lunch.
Any suggestions? Thanks a lot

It gets easier as you go along. Finding low point snacks is really helpful. The 100 Calorie Packs are 2 points a piece and can make a nice snack.
Most fruits are a point or 2 and you can work those into your daily routine.
I am a big fan of Wonder Light bread and Healthy Turkey deli meat.
2 slices of bread is only 1 point and 7 slices of the Turkey is 1 point. (Ham is also 7 slices=1 point) You can add on pickles, mustard, lettuce, tomatoes etc which is free and have a nice big sandwich for only 2 points.
I actually eat more since I've been on WW than I did before.

It's official--come April 1st, Kitzy will be a member of Weight Watchers. I even found a chapter to join and everything.
It's going to suck on Easter. All I have to say is that I WILL be eating lamb and roasted potatos and See's chocolate. They can just bite me.

I think it has a good chance to work for you Kitz.
I have the world's worst self control in all things, as many people around here know all too well, but WW is working for me.

I have a recipe printed off that I got from this thread! Muffins made with graham cracker crumbs. I was very excited to bake something healthy this afternoon, and I have all the ingredients for said muffins... I ended up with a plateful of Double Chocolate Dream cookies instead.

I'm still looking forward to those muffins, though, whoever posted the recipe!!

I'm thinking of doing the Weight Watchers thing...I'm 5"5, and 150lbs. Although for some reason, I've always weighed in heavy. For example, when I ws 5"5 and 130, I looked great, but maybe even a tad too thin. So my goal is to get down to 135 by the end of June.
Problem is, I have horrible eating habits (I graze all day instead of eating proper meals, never exercize, get no sleep, ect.)

Posted: 3/27/06 at 8:38pmI'm 5'5 and I currently weigh 142. I used to be 150 but then went on South Beach and lost like 15 lb. but gained a lot back. I want to weigh 130, that's my ideal weight.

Posted: 3/27/06 at 8:39pmI'm 5'4 and about 160. I'd like to get down to 130 or 125 by September, if at all possible. I'm just sick of being unhappy with my body.

Wanted to tell you all: I have officially designated one section ofmy family's fridge as the WW shelf, and now it is MINE MINE all MINE mwahahaha. That's the best I can do in terms of only having around what you can eat b/c I'm theonly one in my fam on WW.

I like them all. I buy the sourdough, Italian, white and the hamburger buns regularly and just rotate through them as to not get bored.

Posted: 3/28/06 at 3:03amJust started WW today! My initial goal is to lose between 30-40 pounds. What is a resonable time frame for me to reach this goal? Wish me luck!

Theaterboi, I find the most sensible thing with WW is not set an unreasonable goal. Don't set yourself up by saying "Ohmygod, if I don't get down to X by X, I've FAILED!" Just keep on doing the program- drink your water, portion control, move your butt - and the pounds will come off bit by bit.
Off the top of my head I would say, give yourself 6 - 8 months. But every body is different. Ask your group leader.

I am glad you enjoyed it!
Here is another tip for you:
The Fat Free Hebrew National hot dogs are very good and are only 1 point a piece.
Maybe we should include a breif WW segment on the podcast.

Patronus-
I'm a little confused about the deli meat. Is there a certain brand that you can get where 7 slices is 1 point? Because the one my mom is buying now (Boar's Head) is 1 point/slice or something like that.
& I'm really looking forward to making this sandwish!

The brand is Healthy Choice.
It comes in a plastic container/tub and you can get it in the pre-packaged lunch meat section at your grocery store.
It's thinly sliced, but 7 slices makes a decent size sandwich.
