Dance classes benefit a career in the arts and gain points!

That will be my last cheesy informercial statement of the day.

Yes! I'm thinking of doing just that to kill 2 birds with one stone.

I do take some dance classes, but had to cut way back due to my financial issues. I wish I could just dance 6 days a week, unfortunately my pocketbook protests.

How much are you dancing now?

I'm only tapping one day a week right now since it's all I can afford. I am hoping to get on board with the workstudy program at my studio, every hour a week I work at the studio equals a free hour of class that week. If I can get a few hours of workstudy I'll definitely be upping my classes.

Sounds like a great plan! Be sure to keep us updated on that. I know it sucks to feel like you're not doing what you love as much as you should, but it'll all pass in time.

Not as dramatic of a loss as last week, but a loss nonetheless. :)

Week 7:
Starting Weight: 221.5
Last Wednesday's Weight: 205
Today's Weight: 204.5

Down another 1/2 lb!

Nice work.
It is especially good to maintain after a larger loss like that. Stephen, welcome to the Two-Ohs!

I stand corrected, you are as vapid as they say.

Yeah, it wasn't looking good for a loss at all as late as yesterday.

THIS week, I am setting a goal for myself though. 2 lbs! Let's see if I can do it. Stephen, welcome to the Two-Ohs!

I'm weighing in tonight. I've done pretty well, I think. However, I went to the doctor Monday and he doesn't want me to work out for another month (I fractured my ankle a little over a month ago)! SOOOOOOOOOOOO frustrating because I actually WANT to work out and can't...

Good luck and congrats everyone.

Accckk. Fell off the wagon the past two weeks. Here are my excuses - which I'll just get off my chest so I can get over them:
-I had company in town (lots of dinners out)
-I have been working late (until about 8:00 so I've missed dance class many times, and have been too tired to treadmill)
-Ben & Jerry's attack, big time (it's a female thing).

Good news is, I only gained 1.5 pound (and I had lost four - so I guess I'm still "down").

So I've been reading the thread today and its motivating me. Thanks!

The graham cracker muffins recipe was costume mistress's. I made them and they were tasty!

Wow just came back from working out for the first time in a while. I am REALLY out of shape. 50 crunches 10 pushups and 10 lunges hurt like hell. 5 minutes on a bike and I was tired. Jogging? Only could do one lap and I was dying.

Any have reccomendation on how to get back to being able to really work out?

cait- Don't stop! You'll probably be really sore but keep going, just don't work out as hard. Maybe walk a mile, jog a little, nothing to strenuous. If you are consistent with working out though you'll be in good shape in no time!

Yeah, I think the key is to just remember where you are now rather than where you were in the past. That's a hard dose of reality for me to swallow sometimes.

It will take a while to get your stamina back - and that's okay. Don't push yourself too much or else you could get discouraged or injured.

Yeah, that is my probably thinking back to how I was (pretty much 1000 crunches a day, swimming 3 miles everyday ect).

I should probably make a big banner saying don't push yourself because that is always my problem. When I start something I really go for it.

Can I just say one more time how much I love this diet?

I did low carb for SO long and this is such a great change. For the first time in a while I feel healthy.

Caitie, there is nothing wrong with pushing yourself. You just have to know what your limits are in the process. It's a very fine line and if there is too much yin and not enough yang it won't balance out.

Rachlaura, I am glad to hear that. At this point, I don't even think of it as a diet, but rather a way of life. It really has been easy and I know what you mean about feeling healthy. Keep it up!

The thing is, I know myself, and I know i will push myself too much. I will try to be at the level I was way too fast. Why I need to find a workout buddy who knows when to make me stop.

And have a mentioned that I love WW? I am waiting to weigh myself until next week because I am still getting started but seriously it does wonders. I may not look any different but I feel so much better these past couple days!

Yay, finally a good weigh-in. I was down 2 pounds this week! And I know exactly why...I've been good about tracking again. It's a pain in the ass, but its the key!
