Those changes seem to be a major point of WW.
It allows you to do what you need in order to stay on the program.

I stand corrected, you are as vapid as they say.

Yes - it's these "choices" that seem to help me lose weight. Two weeks ago, I would have had the sandwich and the cookie. Now I think more about where I really want to use those points/calories. And little changes make me feel less "diety" and just more aware.

I've also been learning which foods maximize my hunger control when I am feeling snacky. You want the most bang for your points!

I dig the strawberry shortcake Skinny Cows. I dig Skinny Cows in general, because I am an ice cream freak.

For those of you who haven't discovered Skinny Cows, they are ice cream sandwich snacks (looks like the old "flying saucers"), that have only 140-150 calories (depending on the flavor) and very little fat. And, this isn't shill, just a recommendation for other ice cream lovers!

Oh yeah--and I need to look but I bet other sugar free ice creams are low points.

And Tasty D is my life saver--that and Smoochies!

Went shopping for clothes today. I bought my first pair of 31 waist pants ever and some 32s. I haven't bought 32s since 1996.

And I even gained a pound this weigh in. Stephen, welcome to the Two-Ohs!

Awesome Jerby!

I need some inspiration. I've fallen off the wagon big time the last two weeks.

Week 6:
Starting Weight: 221.5
Last Wednesday's Weight: 208.5
Today's Weight: 207.5

Another lb down! I am pretty suprised actually, I didn't expect to see a drop at all.

Now the REAL test since I am going to be in NY this weekend. Fortunately, everyone I am hanging out with for the most part is also dieting so that should help.

Just throwin it out there:

www.nutrawatch.com is an online food journal. I've used it with some success in the past, though I'm not using it now (I probably should be). Some of you might find it helpful.

Alright so I just started WW three weeks ago and I have been reading the entries you guys have been putting up here and I have finally decided to post. I'm so glad to read that all the diets seem to be working for everyone!

Sponsor me as I walk the Philadelphia AIDS Walk - Sunday, October 16, 2011. Many of our friends, family and neighbors are in desperate need of health care services and other life-saving programs, but with cutbacks in government dollars , these programs are often under-funded. Now, more than ever, your donations are needed to support organizations providing HIV/AIDS awareness, prevention education, counseling and testing and care services for people living with HIV/AIDS. http://www.aidswalkphilly.org/users/index.php/profile/detail/186643

Well, I have to say that I wasn't looking forward to the weigh in after a weekend in New York. I tried to force myself to be good while I was there, though I did make some bad decisions on occasion. Sandwiched in between a ton of plain Turkey Sandwiches I did have a Pecan Bar from the Cranberry Gourmet and a cookie and even some late, late night corned beef hash.

So weighing in seemed like I was destine for my first step backwards...

Week 7:
Starting Weight: 221.5
Last Wednesday's Weight: 207.5
Today's Weight: 205

I somehow managed to lose 2.5 lbs this week! That is the the second largest drop that I have had since I started.

I am now down 16.5 lbs!

Yes, Patronus! Congrats!
I haven't lost one pound in almost two months, just maintaining the EXACT same weight. However, I've been going to the gym and I'm noticing a lot of things, namely that my clothes are now fitting me very differently. I tried on a pair of size 31 jeans this weekend. A bit tight but they buttoned and zipped. That's something that hasn't happened for me in, oh, 15 years. And I'm 5'10"! That almost qualifies as skinny!

Uh, yeah. A pair of 31 jeans would definitely qualify as skinny! I recently had to buy a pair of 34s because my 36s were getting too big and now my 34s are sagging! If I can actually buy a pair of 33 or 32s I'd probably faint. That is truly awesome. Whether the pounds are coming off or not at least you are still seeing positive change!

While in New York I did buy a couple of show tshirts and got to go down to L instead of XL which was really exciting!

Here is my first "weight loss progress before and after shot". The first picture is from 12/24/2005 (at my highest), the second is from 11/2005 and the third is from this past Saturday:

Funny how I said I'd start Weight Watchers once I came back from England...

Methinks I might be putting that off for a bit longer. I'm so shocked that I can buy fast food for less than $16 and so happy to have a pantry that is fully stocked, I can't seem to stop eating.

But at least my clothes still fit! And my pants don't feel quite as tight either.

I just realized how people in London stay skinny--they can't afford to eat!

My inspiration to buck down: my jeans are SO tight right now but I've promised myself since Day One (almost 3 years ago) that I would never buy larger sizes again.

So, I don't have much choice unless I leave the house in baggy sweats every day, which won't be happening.... :)
