congrats jerby. the cabbage soup diet is actually pretty good. you can only do it for one week at a time though since it is very low in complex carbs, protein, vitamins and minerals to continue for two long. it recommends one week on, two weeks off.
it has a great soup that you can eat as much as you want of every day. lots of vegs., fruits, some meat, skim milk and unsweetened tea, cran. juice and water.

I'd never try it, but I know people who have done the cabbage soup diet. Let's just say it involves a lot of cramping, bloating, gas, and let your imagination run wild.
I know 2 seriously obese people who have lost loads of weight (and still losing more) following the South Beach Diet.

I, on the other hand, have started to develop the munchies, after three days of cooler weather...

Posted: 8/30/05 at 9:42amSo what do you guys do when you have a big food week coming up? I was finally starting to see results, but I just quit my job and am getting taken out 2x for lunch this week. On top of meeting an old friend for din yest (which I'm still feeling gross this morning) and possibly meeting new friends for "the best burger ever" on Thurs (which has been on the calendar for about 3 weeks). I can half or third each plate I get, but anything else?

That's why you get flex points. Personally I think it helps to get a little lax once in a while, as long as you know it will only be for a certain amount of time. When I went out of town a couple of weeks ago I decided not to journal at all, but still tried to eat pretty well and only really indulge at a couple of meals. It can't be too bad of a plan since I lost 2 lbs that week

Posted: 8/30/05 at 1:22pmJust plan your days accordingly as much as you can--you have your daily points to cover a chunk of those points and the weekly points to soak up the rest. Try not to use your weekly points on those "naughty" days. And don't fret. Even IF you ate too much and even IF you happened to gain or stay the same weight, next week is another day! Just keep on truckin!

How are we doing?
I was sooooo bad yesterday for Labor Day. I have no idea how many points I used, so I just estimated and came to 52! I only get 22 a day plus exercise points and weekly points.
So, I only have 7 weekly points left for the WHOLE WEEK! I have to be a very good boy.
But, I'm down to a weight loss of 12+ pounds. It's slow, but hopefully permanent.

Posted: 9/6/05 at 8:02pmI just randomly wanted to say what a good friend sugar-free Jell-o is. I had cranberry Jell-o with mandarin oranges in it with dinner, and it was delicious.

I finally hit a goal I had been wanting to hit. :)
And, I was NAUGHTY last week! This really has been the best program for me ever.

I just hit a weight I hadn't been at in a year. And now, any weight less will be the smallest I have been since 1996.

That's fabulous. Congrats!
I'm still wanting to lose 20 lbs, but in what I consider encouraging news, I've maintained for a year. I mean, it would be nicer if I lost the 20 first and then maintained, but being that I haven't been too faithful to counting points and exercising, its encouraging that I've been able not to gain with everything WW has taught me.

Sugar free jello is an amazing friend. Only ten calories. Add Redi-whip and its only 25 calories. Its amazing how many calories sugar adds.
College is my diet. I have so much work with homework, my new job, exercise, auditions, callbacks, voice lessons, and getting enough sleep to keep myself fit for the above said activities doesn't leave much time for me to eat a lot.
I was off today and I ate at Olive Garden and people must have thought I had a tape worm I ate so much. . .

Jerby, I meant to tell you on Sunday you were looking pretty darn swank...but, well - two vokda tonics, don't hold it against me.
Anyway, now I'm telling you and the whole world about it.
And I am feeling darn skinny myself. Ok, not skinny. I don't even want to be skinny, but dangit if the new pants I just bought aren't already hanging loose! That's smaller than junior high sizes there.

Mega-congrats to jerbie and bway (and all others)!!!
'course, if you can, an exercise regimen totally helps lots too! I, myself, put on a pair of jeans I had bought a year ago. They practically fell off, though admittedly, they were low-riders....
