I feel sad for the children. The older ones are expected to help raise the younger ones, and not one of them is hearing the message "you don't HAVE to have children to be a worthy human being". With that many kids, it wouldn't be surprising if at least one were infertile. I mean, they're all "as many children as God gives us", which is great if they accept that God might decide to give no children to one of them, but still.
I don't know. I just feel sad for the children. They can't get much opportunity to discover the different ways of life and work out which is right for them, not with such an incredibly strong influence coming from the parents.

I haven't watched their show in a while, but from what I remember when I did watch, isn't it actually only the older GIRL children who have to be the "buddies" and are assigned to dress and feed and whatnot the younger children? And not any of the older boy children?
I always thought the one named Jinger would escape.

Never mind the taxpayers; the planet would rot under our feet if every family were as irresponsible. Earth cannot sustain this insane population growth for much longer, and the Duggars are DEFINITELY not helping. As a non-US tax payer, I'm FAR more worried about the ecological implications than the economical ones. :P

Not to speak for adamgreer, but I thought he meant the whole having 19 deductions, claiming their home is a church (churches are exempt from taxes), etc. cost to the taxpayers.

They could still claim their home is a church and not have any kids.
