I hate you
But you could never leave me
I finally snapped
And shot you 50 times
I didn't cry a tear
Through 18 months of hell
I thank whatever power if there really is one at all
He let me come this far, even though saying "He" is sexist
The Lie hurt but only while you lived
The Lie will kill your soul
The Lie hurt but only while you lived
The Lie will kill your soul
It's over my shoulder now
Something like a fat pink elephant
The howling of barmaids who can't get a tip
And the burning sun
It's over my shoulder now
But your funeral is tomorrow
The casket is pea green
Just like the vomit that you caused
The Lie hurt but only while you lived
The Lie will kill your soul
The Lie hurt but only while you lived
The Lie will kill your soul
solo
The Lie hurt but only while you lived
The Lie will kill your soul
The Lie hurt but only while you lived
The Lie will kill your soul
The Lie will kill your soul
The Lie will kill your soul

Better! But, I still think I need to hear the music.
There is no music. You must simply *feel* the power in your heart.

Actually, Paul Simon said "lie lie lie...kielielielielielie lie lie lie lielielie."
Truer words were never spoken.
I struggled for for a long time with this one, danmag.
Trying to find a rhyme for elephant was an exhausting and painful experience. But, as any artist will tell you, great pain produces great art.
In the end, I decided elephant didn't need a rhyme. It's so powerful a phrase as it is, why stoop to convention?
No, I blaze my own trail and damn the conformists.
I always knew you were deep, Taz.
But this...this was just incredibly moving. Very powerful stuff.
"There is no music. You must simply *feel* the power in your heart."
How about some visuals then Taz? Or possibly a little rap beat.

May I please record this for my upcoming direct to megaupload album?
Well, Orfeh has already expressed interest Phyllis, but I'll have my agent call you.

Taz, you I and have so much in common artistically. I once wrote a lyric
"what's that thing down the leg of my pants?
Shawty, I gots a schlong like an Elephant's"
Feel free to use it.
Gosh, Joe. Who knew you were the sensitive, artistic type?
You are all just dreamy.

When I said "Feel free to use it, I was referring to the RHYME not the Schlong. But I've been known to make exceptions.
I thought the ultimate lie was the female orgasm?

I have no idea who the other TheatreDork is. I put in TheatreDork & they slapped on the 2.
Don't you just hate it when that happens?
Being a dork?
Yea.
