sure you don't dream. sure you don't lol.
That's interesting that Adam was at the Nederlander yesterday.
Jaime was a good Mimi. I wouldn't mind seeing her opposite Adam, but by the time I go see Rent Tamyra will probably be back. Which is nice, because I want to see Tamyra's Mimi.
Ok, I just purchased my second official set of tickets for August. My friends that have said they wanted to go for months now, finally came through. So if I go with Jenna also, that'll be three times in Aug. yay me!
I'm still trying to get over the image of Jon and Adam pulling off their sparkly jeans.

Siamese - too bad you missed them. So I guess they are both definitely in NY now until the show starts. This is exciting!
I just... can't picture Adam pulling those out and being like "Yeah, I'm wearing these tonight." And doing that MORE THAN ONCE!
Perhaps he thought they drew the girls in like flies
Somehow, those jeans managed to get into his wardrobe several times. I can imagine Cybele trying to sneak them away from Adam so she can burn them. :P

She's probably like, "please honey, no. think of the kids..."
after all this time she's probably so used to the way he dresses she probably just rolls her eyes
"Please honey, no. think of the kids..."
And Adam says, "But...what about the gays? I have a fan-base to keep happy, ya know."
It would be funny if Cybele posted something in her blog to the effect of, "Oh, crap, my husband found the sparkly jeans again..."

lol, so Adam's bedazzled jeans have become the "where my gays at?" symbol now?
I wonder how he really feels about returning to Rent. At BB Kings when someone in the audience mentioned it and everyone started cheering, he made that motion with his hands like "stop." I wonder if he's actually kind of bummed or thinks its a step backward
I've actually been wondering the same thing, misschung. He's said so many times that he wouldn't go back to Rent, I was really surprised to hear that he was.
Maybe some tactless individual will pose the question at the stagedoor... (Could you imagine? That would be awful!)
I'd like to think that going back into Rent WITH Anthony has a lot to do with it. I can't imagine either one of them just joining the whatever-current-cast by themselves. But, the idea of being in the show again together might be a big enough pull.
Adam definitely wouldn't have done it alone. I have a feeling Anthony convinced him.
EDIT:
Someone on Voices For Rent posted this:
"Randomly, Adam and Anthony were watching the show last night. Didn't see Anthony, although cast members said he was there, but people saw Adam standing in the back."
I guess they are watching the show for reference? Huh.

Interesting. Although I'm willing to be that they were there for other business as well. Maybe not though - they might have just wanted to test the waters of the new audience and stuff. After all, it's been awhile
Wow. Anthony must have been jetlagged -- the South African production of Rent opened on Tuesday!
Anyway, Adam knows his fanbase.

aw, it did? Congratulations to him! That is a loooooong flight. I'd love to see that show down there, I wonder what the reception will be.
I wonder how it went, with Anthony directing. Probably very well.
If anyone stage-door's it they should ask him, I bet he be very happy to talk about it.
That's what I was kind of worried about too MYB; I personally hope this puts him back into the theatre community and more opportunities arise. He can't just live off of doing one man concerts forever you know?
A friend of mine just saw Adam and wanted to inform me that his hair is bleached blonde.... so now I inform all of you.
Thanks! I'm not sure if I'm in the minority or not, but I really like his bleach-blonde hair look.
Where did your friend see him?
I like the bleached hair. It's so "90's middle school," but Adam seems to make it work...for a Broadway rocker pushin' 40.
Of course, I also like the buzz look. I wouldn't mind seeing that either -- in any color.
I am sooo jealous of all of you who live in NYC and nearby. I want so badly to see Adam and Anthony in Rent, but it's just not in the budget. I expect detailed reports from all of you!!!I did get to see the tour when it came through Seattle in May, so I'll have to be content with that...
I agree. I want every single detail. The closest I ever got to seeing Rent was taking pictures outside the theater when I visited NYC. Please tell us everything!
