yeah i know skittles. i brought it up because i had put up those pics and we had talked about it a little thats all.
passing if you think community college is expensive, you should see the bill from the state university. I'm doing my cc stuff now. i'll finish all that i can do there by spring. then i have to start at the university in the fall- 2008. uni does have it's advantages though
Next you are going to tell me Elton came out on stage in a Donald Duck costume, or some crazy nonsense like that.
:)
Elton John came out of stage in a Donald Duck costume and theres no such thing as punctuation anymore because he also eliminated it
Well, he is Sir Elton, he can do things like that!
That's funny about the cast having to take indirect routes home. Next step: the FBI! :P
I'm sorry if this is way OT but my mom just got into a really bad car accident. I'm really scared because I don't know if she's ok or not, a police officer called and said to go downtown and pick up the car; but they didn't say anthing about my mom. I god I don't know what to do.

holy crap, brina! Do you have family around, or someone you can call so you don't have to go there by yourself? A friend who lives nearby? I wouldn't drive if you're really upset - or if you do, be extra careful. Let us know if everything is okay.
I would call the police officer back before you go down there, just to make sure you know what's going on.
My dad's driving so I'm at home; and I'm currently on my cell with my friend. But my dad just called me on our house line and said that my mom's not answering her cell phone, which is making me really really nervous right now.
Stay calm, brina!! Impossible I know, but try! I'll be thinking good thoughts!

My mom never answers her cell phone as it is, so don't panic because of that. She might be talking to someone about what happened or be out of service range. Glad to see you aren't alone through all of this
They may have taken her to the hospital for precautionary measures. If they did, they frown on talking on the cell phone while in the ambulance, or definitely at the hospital.

Yeah, that's true. And they definitely hate cell phones in hospitals/ambulances, you're right.
My mom just called me, she's alright but her car got totally smashed. The other person in the accident is fine too. Thank you so much for being here, I've been a little too frantic running around and trying to calm myself; having a person on my cell and here is making this a much better situation believe me, so thank you.
I'm sorry that happened, brina. At least your mom's okay.

Brina, I'm so glad! I wish your mom and her friend well. Thank goodness it was only the car that got "hurt" - even though that sucks, too.
Let's just say the insurance bill will be a b!tch for my parents; but I'd rather have that smashed over my mom anyday
I'm so sorry you had such a scare, brina. Not knowing what's going on can be so traumatic.

Here here, brina. Glad everything is okay
To go back to Aida for a moment, I found this interview with Beyoncé in which it came up:
AP: I've been reading you're going to do another musical -- Elton John's 'Aida.'
Beyonce: Oh yeah, I read that too. The 'Aida' thing? I mean, I would love that, it sounds like a good idea. But I haven't had any meetings about it.
It doesn't sound like this project has gotten very far. I have a feeling the columnist got a little ahead of himself.
I love that response-"Oh yeah, I've read that too."
So it's not set in stone. That's good, I guess.

Yeah, that was a little odd..
Again, I thank you for all the support you have given me tonight. My mom is safe at home snug as a bug in her bed (reading Harry Potter ) and the other man that was in the accident is safe as well. But the car is completely caput. The one thing that angered me a bit was the man's air-bag went off, leaving him with no injuries; but my mom's did not and she sprained her foot and has alot of bruising. I'm actually pretty happy that the car is gone now, it's been causing some trouble for my family (the battery died on us twice) so at least no more damage can come from that.
Thank goodness that AIDA thing is a rumor though Chloe, we can all be at a little more at ease I guess. For now anyway :-X
So glad everything worked out brina. I know it sucks the car is totaled, but I'll take a damaged car over a damaged family memeber anyday!!!
It is funny how fast word travels about stuff. Glad it doesn't seem valid.
If Beyonce doesn't know she's playing a role...
I'm so glad everything's alright, brina. And I hope your mom enjoys Harry Potter. It's quite good. :)

So strange about the airbags. It sounds like you guys are better off without that car, even if it's a big inconvenience - safety is more important. We got into a minor car accident about 5 years ago, and my mom's airbag in the passenger side went off, but it actually made her break her thumb because it was so forcefully deployed. They are supposed to help in these situations! sheesh.
